The staff were sensational!! The duty manager… Chimlei (not sure of spelling!) was absolutely fantastic…. I couldn’t recommend this hotel more plus food was exquisite!!! Highly recommend!!!

Location is excellent - right off Cuba street and in the center of everything! And the property itself is very lovely - if you are looking for a unique spot (not a chain hotel with standard art) this is for you. The Puffin bar was also really happening - very busy both Thurs & Fri night! Great drinks and great wine.
The staff was also AMAZING. So thoughtful, great recommendations, always very attentive in looking after us.
The Puffin Bar is quite loud - I would say if you are a light sleeper do NOT be in Room 101 as you are right above the bar! Our friends were in 104 & 105 and couldn't hear it so might just be the room right over it.

Super comfortable but with a very cool tasteful vibe

I didn't have any breakfast but the location is so perfect. A real bonus is both the lovely relaxing lobby area as well as the bar downstairs, it's the favourite bar of a lot of Wellingtonians and so I ended up there regularly! The service is also very personalised and there's huge attention to detail.
The lighting in the bathrooms could be better. I struggled to see to put on make up.
