Staff are exceptional, very kind, thoughtful and make all efforts to make your stay enjoyable. Lovely breakfasts.
Two things, we had the room with the bathtub in the room, which was awkward to use. More importantly, it is noisy as rooms are directly over the pub and between 11 PM closing and early AM bin collections it can limit the number of quiet hours of slumber.

Perfect location and lovely old building.
As of its age didn’t realise the stairs would be so narrow, difficult when you’re recovering from a hp operation. We do understand because of its age, just didn’t think forward!!

Fantastic old building, fabulous staff, brilliant location, delicious food, comfy bed, lovely freestanding bath in bedroom.
Please sort out the creaking sign outside window of New Romney room...probably just needs some oil but very annoying and spoilt our sleep in what was otherwise a fabulous and comfy room.

The location is great in the heart of Rye
We were at the top of the building, very narrow winding stairs, not well lit, quite stuffy in the heat of summer
