Leonardo Boutique Hotel Krakow Old Town

Rooms were clean and lots of nice toiletries Ona arrival. Our roomed was cleaned and we have new toilets everyday. We loved the robes.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. I expected it to be good, it's always a worry when visiting a hotel for the first time that it won't be as promised; after all our hotel in Amsterdam had photographs that bore no resemblance to our actual room. If anything, the Leonardo was understated. The entrance is subtle - in fact our taxi driver couldn't see it - but once inside, this is a spacious, airy vaulted reception with the bar and patio restaurant clearly visible. Staff were great and the room did not disappoint. I had booked a corner room so we had three tall windows and a high ceiling, seating area with desk, sofa, huge bed, and large bathroom. Road noise was sometimes audible, the trams were just a deep rumble, but the bed was superb and it certainly didn't wake me. Breakfast was excellent, but - no bacon!! The other items did however make up for it. We ate lunch once, which is served after 2pm, and tried the bar a few nights after dining out and the cocktails are great. We thoroughly enjoyed it and felt like it was worth the visit. I'd certainly recommend it.

No bacon at breakfast... it's a staple! The bar closing at 9pm one night due to a 'machine failure' meant we had to have an early night, but these are small points only and not really serious grumbles. They certainly didn't affect the overall stay.

The location is great, within walking distance to everything. The building itself is decorated nicely inside There are complimentary nibbly bits (sweets) and cherry vodka The reception were helpful at providing a map with nearby things to do and organising a massage

The rooms were small - no place for hanging clothes. Made smaller due to a fan. Breakfast wasn't as great as it appeared from other reviews - often cold and dry The main issue was the lack of air conditioning, and the lack of transparency around this. It was 34-39 degrees for the duration of our stay. The air con simply didn't work. We were told on arrival it was being fixed. It never was fixed - and when i looked into reviews this is not a 'new problem' as we were told - but rather ongoing since March 2026. At no point were we offered any sort of apology or complimentary something to lessen the blow. We essentially did not sleep (or 1-2 hours) for 3 nights. We had to keep the window open - the window opened onto a loud road with a tram every 3 minutes throughout most of the night (except from the early hours)...even with ear plugs it was impossible. We missed a tour due to exhaustion, and eventually moved hotel. The primary purpose of booking a hotel (and paying decent money for a hotel) is to supplement and allow for a restful vacation. This was not true in our case and therefore I can't provide a higher score.
