Hotel Ponte Sisto

Breakfast was really good- the best cream-filled croissants I've ever had. The bathroom was spacious. The beds were comfortable. The location was good - very quiet and only 25 minutes walk, mostly along the river, to St Peter's Basilica (our destination when visiting Rome for our short stay).

Don't leave your plate even briefly unattended in the courtyard - the birds got to it immediately. If you are thinking about driving a car and parking at this hotel, don't. They do not have a parking lot; it's a limited number of small spots (possibly only one) behind two gates that require you to coordinate a meeting point outside the ZTL to be directed physically to the parking spot. Not an easy thing to do after a long, sleepless flight. We were only there for one night before driving into Tuscany, but if I had to do it again, I would have skipped Rome or rented a car a day later. The staff was just meh. I previously stayed in a Rome hotel of similar ranking where the staff was SO pleasant and helpful, welcoming us right off the plane, offering us coffee and a place to relax, and surprising us by getting us into the room early. I had hoped this hotel would live up to that, but I would not likely stay here again.

Location was great - lots of places to eat available - very scenic and historic.

The location of the hotel was great, it had many walkable places to explore and visit. The breakfast was also great. We also enjoyed the convenience of being so close to public transit too.

The room was rather small for the price. The bed was not very comfortable.
