Meon Valley Hotel, Spa & Golf

Excellent customer service from the receptionists. I received a free room upgrade for my stay. A special shoutout to Sophia who searched everywhere and found for a spare phone charger for me! Will definitely stay again.

Nothing

Was a lovely place to stay, the staff were friendly and really helpful. My children enjoyed the pool while I made the most of the sauna and jacuzzi.

The bedroom was really comfortable and modern, the swimming pool and spa area.

The windows needed to be cleaned and the revolving door at the entrance was broken . I didn’t realise that you had to pay a small fee for the swimming pool/spa area

It is set in a golf resort in the countryside. The hotel bedroom I had on the 5th floor had solid walls as opposed to the fibreboard walls you find in many modern hotels, so my room was quiet. The staff were generally friendly and helpful and worked hard.

Not a beautiful building. The area behind my bed in my room was quite dusty but otherwise it was clean. The staff were working very hard but on the early evening of the Friday we stayed the bar had one server and demand was such that we (5 of us) had to leave and find a pub in town (a taxi ride away) to get a drink. When we returned at 10:00 pm the bar was quite empty so getting served was easy but soon the sound of vacuuming and the staff cleaning up for the next day became a little intrusive. Breakfast was buffet style and the cooked breakfast was not lovely (for example the bacon was batch cooked and served in the layers it had been originally packaged in. I couldn’t find salt and pepper. This hotel is set up for golf and large events so public rooms public rooms are large - don’t go there if you want a nice romantic stay as a couple. Whilst there are some negatives, I actually enjoyed my stay (a group of 5 friends on tour) and would stay there again.
