Was expecting a full English but can’t complain about the continental breakfast offered. My own fails for not reading what to expect

All clean, comfortable, perfect!

Room was clean and well kept and bed was decent, location was very convenient to central Liverpool. Staff was very kind.

The outlets in the bed weren't very good, all my plugs kept falling out of them. But the big frustration was that I rented a woman's only room, I confirmed by email that this was a woman's only room, and on the third day of my stay a man showed up. I and the other woman who was in there checked with each other to see that we had both been told it was a woman's dorm, and we mentioned it to the front desk. They were very apologetic but the next day there were two different men in the room, so apparently it wasn't a woman's room after all. I was told they had vacated the usual woman's dorm due to remodeling and I understand that those things happen, but in that case just don't offer the woman's dorm. I have stayed in mixed dorms before but I do prefer a woman's only when it is available for safety reasons and it was quite frustrating that I was told that this was a woman's dorm and then they had three different men in the room. Some women for religious reasons cannot share a room with men so it would really suck for someone in that situation to be told they had a women's room only to have multiple men show up, same for people with trauma. I think it is better to just not offer the woman's room if it becomes unavailable for whatever reason than to tell people they have a woman-only space and then not actually offer it.
