Griffin Lodge Guesthouse

Ann was a great host and very welcoming. The accomodation is in a great location.

Our bedroom was small.

Small, wonderfully located, old fashioned B&B with a friendly, anxious to help hostess, Ann. All the smallish rooms are upstairs on two floors. My room was perfect for a solo. Comfortable bed and good shower. No A/C, No TV in that room. Not sure about the others. This is a city B&B in a busy area. It's a five-minute walk, across the bridge, to the main Pub, Restaurant, touristy area and a one-minute walk behind the building, to an excellent smaller area of the same that is loaded with students and music. This is a younger college town. Monroe's music pub was excellent. In town, on the square, O'Connell's was as well. There is a full-service Supermarket a block away. Ann was a wonderful hostess who juggles and manages about 5 parking spaces so let her know if you have a car. Breakfast was very good!! Nothing fancy here, just a very good B&B, with an excellent hostess in a great area. I would stay again.

Nothing to complain about for me. It's super casual, I was solo and it suited me fine, The couples there seemed to like it as well. Parking is a plus. If you need a TV or A/C, can't handle some stairs, it may not work for you. You pay more for the city location.

Great location, easy walk to Spanish quarter and Westport, but far enough to sleep well with the windows open. Ann is an absolute gem and was the funniest, best B&B host we’ve ever had. The irish breakfasts were fantastic and as not a huge meat eater, I appreciated there were yoghurt and cereal supplements to it. Clean towels every day as well. Don’t miss out on this great find!
