The Galway Rooms

The property was in a great location convenient to everything. The accommodations were very clean, neat and nicely maintained. The whole space was very comfortable and we very much enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend.

N/A. No complaints at all.

The Galway Rooms was a great experience for our two days in Galway. We had a car and so we were a little concerned about the parking but the manager was very proactive about lots to try and we used the one right next to the police station which was very manageable for walking with our luggage. There is ample warning and reminders about the stairs (no elevator) which was fine with us since we had minimal baggage. It was really lovely to look out of the balcony onto the canal bridge, and I personally loved the character of the room and building. Everything was very comfortable, the instructions were clear, and we had no issue with noise keeping us up. Very easy to walk to pubs, sights, restaurants and shopping.

We would stay here again so there wasn't anything deal-breaking about our stay. A mild annoyance was that entering the codes on the door handles often didn't work the first (or second) time, so you just need to embrace that you need to punch the code multiple times.

Good location.

Very noisy, stairs difficult to climb with suitcases, no shelving to put things on, shelf on the bathroom sink meant couldn’t bend over sink. Plumbing needs updating can hear other guests showering, noise from other rooms.
