Just got back from a wonderful stay here, I honestly can’t rate this place & its team highly enough! Had everything we needed, extremely clean & the staff were so warm & welcoming! Will definitely stay here again

Nice and spacious. Away from the busyness of Ambleside.
Staff are good.
Loads of character.

Amazing here, we have been a few times to eat over the years but never stayed. 400 year old property next to Rydal lake, lots of history and amazing wildlife! Badger feeding was great, kids loved it. Staff were brilliant (especially the Scottish man on the bar and the cockney woman at breakfast). History of the place is fascinating, well done to Tessa for that great read! Pie was excellent, eggs benny was great too! Bed in family room was massive and really comfy! Great stay and good memories made!
