Aparthotel alsterSuite

Location near main train station, practical for train travelers

I had to install WhatsApp only to receive instructions on how to get into the house. For me that's a reason not to book this hotel anymore. I don't use whatsapp and to have to install it as a prerequisite to enter the hotel is not acceptable. The could as easily sent these instructions by SMS. From now on, when booking via Booking.com i will only book hotels which can do this either by email or sms. Booking.com should indicate with a hotel, if they have a prerequisite like this, because not everyone has this possibility or wants it.

Locatie was perfect.

The location suited us well and the room was quiet and sizeable

This room did not meet my expectations- I felt misled by the description- I chose it for private bathroom and washing machine and tea making facilities in a mini kitchen - all of which I expected to be in what I thought was an apartment given the title Aparthotel Alster suite. However - the private bathroom was down the hall with the creakiest floorboards and accessed with a key, the tea making was in a shared kitchen downstairs and the washer dryer was also downstairs and in constant use for towels and not guests. We had to source our own toilet paper as there was not enough and no one to contact, and while I didn’t expect it there were no bathrobes or slippers as stated in the blurb. In the end I did use the washing machine and the kitchen and enjoyed our stay (except for fretting over toilet paper) but I feel the blurb could be much clearer
