This is a fairly remote farmhouse a mile or so from the road we were travelling on the Hadrians Wall Cycleway. The open moorland is very scenic. The owners were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable.
Possibly signage for this property could be better on the cycle maps but this is not the responsibility of the owner.

Fabulous host, so well looked after and the food provided in the three course dinner was wonderful. It is so handy for walking Hadrian's wall and our host drove us up to Steel Rigg in the morning.

Very good breakfast and very nice hosts. Close to Hadrian's Wall.
Peeling and mildew on windows and shower, dirty floors and hall rugs. Insufficient light for reading or places to put suitcases. Hostel feel. Very dangerous road hilltop to get to it. Thought it was a working farm and it wasn't and was kind of junky outside.
