The Mercer Boutique Hotel

Location is very handy to the port and old town. There is an excellent cafe around the corner. Our room was well stocked with dishes etc.

There was a persistent, strong, perfume-like odour in the common areas that impacted a member of our party. Having said that, it didn’t bother everyone.

Location, Parking, Staff

Great apartment, good location with free secure parking.

- The hotel itself is generally nice and comfortable. - The room was clean and everything was mostly functional. - The location is convenient, and there are plenty of parking options nearby.

1. The room is already showing some wear: scratched flooring, a broken toilet seat, and some handles that do not close properly. 2. The hotel does not actually have its own parking. They simply rent parking spaces on a nearby street, which guests can also arrange themselves. 3. Check-in was supposed to be at 4:00 PM, but we had to wait until around 4:30 PM in the hallway while the room was being rushed to be cleaned. When we entered, the dishwasher was still running because the dishes had just been put inside. 4. The most disappointing part was what happened after checkout. The hotel contacted us asking about our stay. We honestly said that everything was generally fine, except for the delayed check-in. In response, they sent us a photo of a stained mattress cover and asked whether we had caused the stain. We have absolutely no idea what the stain was or where it came from. We never lifted or inspected the mattress cover, so we had no way of knowing what was underneath the sheets. Being contacted afterwards and essentially being asked whether we had caused the damage was very uncomfortable and disappointing.
