Minster Walk Guesthouse

Location and convenience

It was all generally good

Great place with a unique style and soul. Well located and with very friendly staff. Good breakfast and such great idea to offer it either in bed or not. Really enjoyed our stay! Thank you

The property really emphasises the Harry Potter theme, which is nice if you’re a fan. There is tea available downstairs. The bed was comfortable. We had the family room with one double bed and one single bed. It’s located in a quiet street, close to the train station and the Minster + walls.

I’d like to bring up 3 things: - for this price, I was expecting a decent breakfast. We only got a little basket with barely anything. And there’s no service. We had ordered a sandwich and pastries. The pastries were uncooked… so we couldn’t eat them. And we thought there would at least be an egg or something in the sandwich because we had to choose bacon or sausage but it was literally just bacon and sausage in a sandwich. There’s no coffee machine either. - it’s kind of an old house so be ready to hear floorboards. I also don’t really trust carpets when I comes to hygiene but that’s a personal preference. - no curtains. We were in the roof and the blinds are see through. If you wake up very early, then it shouldn’t bother you. Otherwise, it will.

Staff friendly Great location

Cleanliness of room not great, very established spiders web around wicker chair. Very cluttered.
