Lovely location and friendly staff and a well cooked and tasty breakfast with a good choice for all appetites. The hotel is in a superb location for access to the city centre and offers free parking.

Parking available at no extra charge. The location is excellent, just a couple minutes walk into the hub of York City centre and the Minster. Gillygate is full of independent shops and an excellent Italian restaurant.
This pub has live music so if you need to go to bed you will need decent earplugs.

Friends staff. Very close to York walls and gate. Lots of places to eat nearby. Breakfast was good.
The bathroom had a very damp smell that permeated the bedroom. We were in the old stables at the rear of the property.

The breakfast was not great, the eggs where awful and poor quality.
