It was decorated nicely. It was good that you could park free for an hour right outside the hotel whilst unloading and loading. The staff were exceptional. The food was lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the shower amazing!
Limited parking spaces, however the parking alternative was very close by and easy to use. The room was lovely but small and it bit dusty under the bed. There. Old be more snack options at the bar as there were only crisps.

The room, decor and general cleanliness of the hotel was amazing. The bar was open pretty late too (great if you walk back from the city centre after a few drinks!). The room and bathroom were very spacious, feathered pillows as standard, but they did get swapped out at our request. Perfect room for a couple having a get-away for the weekend or a special occasion.
The staff took a while to get to reception when we arrived. Very limited free parking, but 24 hours for £18 is pretty reasonable in the nearby school car park. If needed, there are spots on the road outside for an hour to drop suitcases off and check in etc.
On the morning we checked out, we had a fire alarm at 7:30am (not sure if it was planned or not)

Beautiful decor. Great location to get to York Racecourse. Staff were very friendly. The room was a great size and the bath was the cherry on top.
The only thing we found was the limited menu for lunch at 1pm but that's really trying to find something.

Location is fantastic if going to York races
Cleanliness was poor this time and breakfast was poor for the cost. My eggs Benedict was very underwhelming
