About this villa rental
Nestled in this sought-after gated enclave is "DoradoScape" a spectacular two story 6800 square feet OCEAN FRONT VILLA which is the largest original villa built by Laurance S. Rockefeller for The Dorado Beach Resort and Club and has been lovingly and meticulously maintained by the current owner. This villa has seven terraces which overlooking the ocean and the majestic Caribbean Island of Porte Rico and is situated on the 11th hole of the Historic Dorado Beach "CHAMPIONSHIP EAST COURSE."
A convenient and private split bedroom plan, the lower level contains a spacious living / dining area adjacent to the fully equipped kitchen, a laundry room with washer and dryer, a pantry with floating shelves, a hallway which serves all rooms, a utility closet, and a bathroom with shower.
The living / dining area opens onto a terrace garden and a covered terrace overlooking the ocean and the Dorado Beach East Course (which was the first PGA seaside golf course).
On each side of the living / dining area is a spacious, private suite. Each with private full bath, plus vanity counter with sink in the dressing area.
One suite opens onto a terrace on each side.
The other suite a kitchenette, with full refrigerator and microwave connecting to a Terrace bedroom furnished for comfort including an overstuffed leather futon and overlooks the lush landscape of the northern coast of Puerto Rico.
On the upper floor are two additional luxurious suites each with a private full bath plus vanity counter with sink in dressing areas. One with a roof top terrace and the other opens on to the golf course overlooking the ocean and the majestic natural setting of this Caribbean Island.
Villa Dorado has 24/7 hour private security as well as 24/7 Resort community guardian.
.• Kitchen: fully equipped with double built in ovens, radiant electric cook top with four elements, dishwasher, double door top refrigerator with ice maker / bottom pull-out freezer, microwave oven, four slice toaster, microwave, coffee maker, reverse osmosis unit for purified water and many small appliances. Pantry Items, Dishes & Utensils. All you will need to prepare your favorite meal and drink your favorite beverages.

Dorado Beach members that own residences within the Resort enjoy Legacy benefits that allows them to extend their guests temporary membership privileges known as Short-Term Rental Membership to enjoy the Club when staying with them or while renting their Dorado Beach residence. Rates for the weekly Short-Term membership will be:
§ $390.25 per person per week.
We ask for a non refundable deposit of $2,500 per person per week to cover incidentals. Unused deposit will be returned to guest.
The maximum additional guests allowed are eight (8) designees within the same Short-Term Rental membership.
Vacation Rental guests must submit their temporary membership application and contract completed and signed by the sponsor Legacy member at least five (5) days prior to their arrival. All applications must be signed by the guest and by the member/owner of the Dorado Beach residence. Incomplete applications will not be accepted and may delay the access cards expedition process.
Temporary Membership Information
Up to 2 weeks a year.
One week minimum.
Includes up to 8 designees, 6 years or older.
Regular membership discounts do not apply.
Ritz Carlton Reserve facilities are exclusive for Hotel guests only (Ritz Carlton Reserve Fitness Center and Ritz Carlton Pool).
Lessee must occupy the Dorado Beach Legacy Member's residence to enjoy membership privileges.
The Lessor (Legacy Member) will be responsible to the Club for all fees and charges incurred by the Lessee (Guests) which will be deducted from Lessee Deposit. Guests are responsible for their behavior while on property and must comply with Resort Rules and Regulations.
Temporary Membership to The Dorado Beach Resort Club includes: ( subject to change)
• The Watermill River Park at Plantation (Open Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays, schedules may vary).
• 2 golf courses The East Course and Sugarcane Course
• El Encanto Beach Club, which has a beautiful beach and pool with shower facilities, a restaurant, the Fitness and Wellness Center, as well as a Tennis Center. We had a wonderful time here. The property had ample space for 8 of us and there were so many activities to do that were all within a walk, golf cart ride or bike ride. The optional house guest club membership program is essential to fully take advantage of all the property has to offer. The view of the ocean over the golf course was beautiful and refreshing. The property manager, Kelsey, was incredibly responsive and helpful. We would definitely come back!

I worked on planning the vacation for more than one year for my entire family of 10. Through the year I stayed in contact with the owner Lorreta who was very informative and insured me that the house was in order and that everything was good to go. On the second day the toilet in one of the bathrooms didn't work and it backed up and spilled over. This was very overwhelming taking me several hours to clean it. Despite the owner getting someone in the next day and saying they fixed it the toilet never worked the entire week we were there. The golf carts which was an additional charge was also a problem. On the second day we were there the carts were not holding the charge and left us stranded. We had to push one of carts on several occasions and needed the assistance of security to get us home. Come to find out that the charger-box got burned and needed repair. Once again the owner mentioned the problem was fixed but it was not. I understand that the owner attempted to get her caretaker's to resolve the issues but it still cause stress to my family at many levels. In addition we were charged by the owner for electricity use. She only allowed her tenants a very limited amount of KWatts/day. Over all we liked the house, the resort and the amenities. The owner has the house well equipped and cleaned. I recommend that you ask questions and read the materials on its entirety. Because of the hardship we endured I will give a Rating of 4 Stars.

This is a great rental property . This villa has so much charm . Its spacious and each room offers lots of privacy for a family or group of friends . Very convenient location within the resort.
