We had a comfortable, fun, and easy stay at Number 9 due to the location, beautiful place, great value, bikes, and hosts

It was ideally located, had a great view of the canal and bustling street, and was clean and comfortable. The hosts were very responsive and kind, even bringing us a scale so we could weigh our luggage before going to the airport! They had made a book for the property offering all kinds of useful information and resources as well as suggestions of places to eat for each meal. And most of all we really appreciated the free access to good bikes, which we took all over the place. One day other guests got to the bikes before we did (they are first come first served, which is great) so we got different bikes and rode to a cool beach and the bikes from Number 9 happened to be parked right where we parked our bikes! We highly recommend this place!

The only issue was the steepness of the ladder up to the bedroom. For most people that would be perfectly fine, but my partner was concerned about coming down it in the middle of the night to pee, so he slept on the couch downstairs. That wasn’t a problem though as the couch was very comfortable and with the open plan we could still talk to each other easily from our respective beds.

Beautiful cozy apartment in center of Middelburg

The apartment is beautiful and very clean with excellent amenities, even Netflix & bicycle and comfortable bed. Location was great and check in was smooth.

Beautifully restored historical building, Awesome hosts!

What a little gem in Middelburg. A beautiful historical building tastefully restored to bring in all the necessary modernity in today’s age but still retain a classic + cozy feel. I had Apartment J (the loft) which was like an interior design showroom, just gorgeous. Also impeccably clean + well stocked. The complimentary bottle of Organic Tempranillo was a nice surprise upon arrival 😁 Number 9 are excellent hosts, happy to answer all my questions about the area and property and gave good recommendations. I stayed on my birthday and even got a hand written card + gifts from the hosts which was a super nice touch to make the stay that more memorable Number 9 takes great care and pride in looking after their guests in their awesomely-restored historical property. Highly recommend

My only real gripe if it all, is the risk of banging your head on the sometimes shoulder-height timber beams of the loft (Apt J), tall fellows like me have to be a little careful!
