Enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Really friendly staff/owners, lovely quirky old building, in a beautiful part of the world.

Bathrooms and decor are very dated.

Superb

It's a very special place, I would define it fascinating. it really looks like entering in a movie... The structure is old but solid, to me it looks like the hotel is alive. All the floors and walls are crooked and the furniture is dated, but it's cleaned and you'll find everything you need inside you room and the hotel. Also, just outside it, as the hotel is in the center of the town, you have a little supermarket, a cash machine and a petrol station, very convenient. The day after outside my window I had the entire rainbow saying good morning. Don't expect anything new or modern, it's a little peace of history, more, Welsh history. And this little town has its own incredible interesting history itself. Just ask the lovely owner and she will send you to talk and discover it through the words old the old lady who lived there. I recommend it. it was a lovely surprise!

Great location, very friendly atmosphere, clean and very good value for money.

The location is excellent for walking, cycling or touring. The property was exactly as described. It’s an old slightly “quirky” building with character. The hosts were very helpful and really friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were the same and there are multiple languages spoken. The food was very good. The evening meals had specials and were very well prepared using fresh local produce wherever possible. We included breakfast in our booking, which was very generous and tasty. We were two motorbike riders and parked at the front of the hotel and felt our bikes were safe. The riding in the area is fantastic with an incredible selection of types of roads. I had a small single, which was all I needed. Everything I needed was there. It was very good value for money. Would I stay there again or recommend this to friends. Yes! if you need access to WiFi, it’s available throughout the hotel, not only in the public areas. Plenty of local beers on tap and a wide selection of other drinks. It’s the world HQ of the “Monster Raving Looney Party”, with some memorabilia, which adds to the quirkiness. If you want to go “Bogsnorkelling”, (quite a niche activity), it looks like this is the place for you.

Don’t expect a “four seasons”, or a jelly mould hotel like a Premiere Inn and you won’t be disappointed. OK, the floor boards creek, there aren’t movies on demand, but if that’s what you want, then mid-wales probably is the wrong place to go.

I did enjoy my stay at Neuadd Arms Hotel. My evening meal was fantastic, the beer great and breakfast was superb. I look forward to staying there again. Many, many thanks.

Feeling a part of the family

All the staff was very friendly and seemed like one big family, and you could always find someone. The experience felt uniquely local.

The showerhead was difficult to stabilise. The were lots of the advirtised jigsaw puzzles, but not that many board games.

Romantic stay, lovely people, food and room. Winston the dog is a great host:)!!

Nice place to stay

It was a nice place to stay, good food, good beer and good location, nice breakfast

There was no shower in the bathroom, only a bathtub and the water was tepid

Most enjoyable

Lovely atmosphere in locals bar. Great beer and cider. Charming staff

Meal service, but it was busy and we were given a free drink to compensate!

No doubt a good stay but not for business purposes.

Convient to my clients

Charged by booking and by hotel. Light bulbs all failed during stay leaving me in the dark. Kitchen closed at an exceptional un helpful hour.

Very good

Lovely traditional Inn with old fashioned decoration. Staff super friendly, dogs are welcome and full breakfast is included. Restaurant served good food and surroundings were stunning. The room was of good size and bed comfortable. Well worth the money.

Only a bathtub in the bathroom, with no possibility to take a simple shower. WiFi wasn't the best but it was there.

Great place in a great location.

A group of us have recently stayed there mid way through a motorcycle trip and we couldn't have asked for more. Great communication before arrival, good clean rooms, great food, great price and in a fantastic spot for riding Devil's Staircase. Would definitely stay again.

Nothing really

Everytime someone turned tap on loud noise in room. A shower would be better than an outdated bath. Shower hose didn't fit bath taps. Place desperately needs modernisation!

Friendly with good food, but rooms are tired and not comfortable

Food was very good and beer/wine good choice and value

Had to change rooms due to the sagginess of the bed, then in the new room had no water in the shower unless the head was lowered to halfway down to the floor (hot water pressure issue on 2nd floor) For the cost, facilities were not great. In need of a refurb, although can understand the difficulties of running an old hotel.....

Loved the relaxed friendly atmosphere...also dog friendly..the building and downstairs rooms are imposing and steeped in history.the staff couldn't of been more helpful and flexible..the meal was fine and drinks wine and food are all reasonably priced.

The bedroom and bathroom is in need of refurbishment .no white cotton sheets, but all adequate....no double glazing etc...but both.myself and my friends felt we would return as the positives outweigh negatives

Pleasant

The Breakfast was very good, Cooked to order. The evening meal menu had a varied choice and was good value for money. The hotel was warm enough and the bed was reasonably comfortable. Staff were generally welcoming and pleasant (but see comment below about dining room staff).

Unfortunately there were still stains and crumbs on the table cloths and food on the floor from the previous evenings dinner. The service at evening dinner time was quite slow and on one evening I waited for about 20mins for someone to take my order. Also staff ignored me (actually walked right past) when waiting to be seated in the restaurant (only one other couple in at the time), which I felt was rather rude, although the same staff member was pleasant enough once I was seated.
