Good

How many small amount of breakfast eating because I wasn’t feeling well

Realise how deep the stairs were up into the guest bedrooms, but staff were, however, helpful with moving my luggage up down

We had a lovely time. Enjoyable stay.

Attentive staff. Lovely position. Good cooking. Comfy bed. Great sleep

Parking facilities much needed. Esp for older & disabled customers. Plumbing problems in room 3 need addressing.expected entertainment in a Friday rather than footballwe had.

A Bit of a disappointment, the room was nice, but the food and parking not so.

Breakfast was a great disappointment, No cereal, no marmalade, you did have toast, and the waitress did find some jam, the cooked was very limited, but ok.

Maybe a look at the menu, especially for breakfast. The evening meal was ok

Expensive hotel for the quality and avoid the pub food at all costs

comfy beds and great location

The pub downstairs served the worst food I’ve ever tasted. Everything had been fried several times and came out dark brown and not edible. The manager was rude and abrupt. When we checked in he said “Breakfast is 8-9, not a minute before, not a minute after” in a very rude manner. It was a Sunday too!!

Snooty but not Pretentious and Oh So Comfortable

If you want to be right in the middle of a bustling, vibrant village in the Yorkshire Dales, the Snooty Fox is the place to stay. You will experience all of the charm of an old inn and modern day comforts, and a great meal and even better beer. The staff were welcoming, pleasant, and helpful. The room we stayed in had a great view of the village Main Street, classy updated bathroom, tv, tea kettle, and superbly comfortable bed. Kirkby Lonsdale is also within short driving distance to other wonderful places in the Dales, making it a great halfway point for exploring.

Our only complaint was the temperature of the room. It could get very warm, very quickly in the room; however, the room was equipped with a oscillating fan that surprised us with how well it worked to make the room comfortable quickly. Out of all our stays throughout that trip, this was the place we slept best…until, the final morning of our stay when at around 8 a.m. someone decided to wash the outside of our windows loudly. Upon mentioning this to the staff member working, she was very apologetic and kind.

Ok stayed in worse places

We did not have breakfast as it started too late.

Noise in the rooms and the attitude we were greeted with on arrival.

The Snooty Fox was friendly and good fun. We would stay there again.

The room was good and the bed comfortable. It did, however, get quite noisy on the Friday and Saturday nights of our stay, although it didn’t bother us. The big-screen football in the downstairs bar was great fun and we joined in the general chat there. All staff were friendly, helpful and professional.

There was no residents’ lounge area and breakfast service was slow.

Awful. Poorly run. It was like Faulty Towers

The fact I booked two rooms and one was given away before arrival. The staff tried to cover up the issue and then make it look like they were doing me a favour of turning the remaining room into a twin room.

Without a doubt, the best value for money bed and breakfast I have had in many years.

It was the cheapest room in the area. For the money the room was quite spacious, and it was a very comfortable room. The breakfast was very good. The staff were friendly, and welcoming, and very hard working. Large screen sports was a nice bonus, would absolutely recommend to anyone.

Made to feel uncomfortable

I thought I had booked breakfast but was mistaken completely my error but was told had to pay for breakfast in cash before we could eat in front of other guests no card just cash and it was the same amount as the genius discount we received even though nothing on menu matched this amount made to feel uncomfortable and had paid for drinks etc the previous evening using card. The only cash machine was out of service so couldn't withdraw cash very poor service

I think it’s been a while since it’s been decorated as it’s all looking a little tired.

When we complained he said its not is fault he is short staffed. Not very good attitude

No cereal or fruit juice on 2 morning. No side plates toast soggy next to baked beans otherwise OK

Three night stay no clean towels or toilet roll without asking in crowded bar.

Weekend away with family in one of my favourite places

Rooms excellent bed very comfortable en-suite bathroom spot on shower excellent, breakfast first class maybe 8 to 10 on a weekend instead off 8 till 9 but wasn't really an issue bar area excellent freindly staff and locals who make you welcome also dog freindly.

Food not as good as it used to be some main courses not available,steak should always be available but all sold out even some starters not available. Also more staff needed behind the bar as it was very busy and only one serving.

Friendly stay - great location.

Fabulous, central location in the lovely town of Kirkby Lonsdale. Friendly welcome. Good, hearty breakfast. Room was clean, with everything provided.

We were in an attic room with low beams so had to be careful not to bang our heads.

A great affordable spot to stay!

lovely pub, good food and spotless room! staff all very friendly. Great price for Kirby Lonsdale. Before your stay your told about noise levels due to it hosting live music etc…. at the end of the day it’s a PUB! Will definitely stay again!

Disappointing

Staff was sparse but very accommodating

Noise from traffic prevented me from sleeping. No lift or staff to help with my case. Spider in bathroom. No room service.
