Really great atmosphere, cozy cafe and helpful staff. Travelers and locals both come to the cafe, so it's a genuine part of Darjeeling cafe culture, not just a tourist spot. The location and amenities are good. Amazing views from windows and balcony. It's the best located hostel in the area for access to views and city life, and it's very clean as well.

Incredible hostel! Perfect location away from the town, but just a few minutes walk from shops, cafes and the main town.
Views from the hostel cafe are increadible, the best I've seen from any hostel in India. Oh, and the food and coffee is great too šš

the view from the cafe is a major plus. the staff is extremely helpful and sweet. also the cafe food is good ( must try chicken cheese chilli toast)
itās very difficult to find the place. it is hideout indeed! the instructions given are helpful but you can tend to get lost if you reach there on the rainy night ( like I did). the dorm beds had some dust on it(not sure if that was due to the renovation going on in the next room). little bit of dusting can make the dorm look clean.

A great location with a beautiful view. A nice cafe above with good food.
We booked for 2 weeks since the reviews and pictures seemed great. We were, however, quite disappointed. We booked the large room, but there was no space to unpack our clothes or any facilities to make a cup of tea. The cafe above only opened after 8 am, so we had to go find a place in the center for our early morning tea. There was no toilet paper or even hand soap in the room. The hot shower does not work, as the hot water pressure is not enough - we could use the hot tap and bucket, though. If you need hot water, you have to ask the staff to switch it on and that took 20min. It would be okay for backpackers on a very small budget, but the reviews were so great that we ended up disappointed. We often stay in backpackers and hostels as we travel the world, and we usually find a great ambiance at all these places with very friendly and enthusiastic staff. We left after one week and moved somewhere else.
