It was very nice castle with modernly renovated room! I have stayed at the several castle hotel in the past and most of them had classic old antique furnitures but this one was more modern feeling inside. You see the castle outside but you feel lke you are in the standard hotel inside.
Everything in the hotel were beautiful.
There are some places require repairs....
1) Toilet door: Glass in the door was cracked which made me nervous when my kids open/close the door, Also once you close the door you could not get our from inside and had to ask someone from outside to open....I am glad i was not bymyself.
2) Living room stains: I assume there was a huge leak from upstairs(bathroom?) in the past...We see paint on the sealing and big stain on the carpet which was hidden by another carpets...
3) Spider webs in the main bedroom: at the top corner of the room.

The setting was beautiful, magnificent château. The rooms were very grand as In the size. The staff member who seemed to do everything was very helpful even though she couldnt speak English. She was very friendly and had no help..
The rooms were not very clean, very dusty and stains on bedding and carpets. The fact that one staff member was doing everything from check in, to serving drinks, restaurant was not very fair on her.

We like the tower room overlooking the garden and the moats. The gastronomic menus are outstanding. Breakfast is excellent and peaceful in the beautiful salle-à-manger.
Lots of new roses have been added since our last visit
Dissay is an extraordinary experience of past architectural grandeur and rare beauty still alive and well in our very different times.
Everything is great.
Maybe I would choose an even better music to accompany the experience. But this is not a critic

Lovely site, helpful staff
Breakfast was terrible and very over priced. Smallest and worst selection in our entire stay in France, and the rest were in 2 and 3 star properties (Ibis).
Watery hot chocolate, subpar pastries. Very disappointing considering cost.
