Hotel Le Macine

Excellent location and staff at the reception. Good breakfast, fantastic view from the hotels terrace, very good restaurant at the hotel and reasonable prices. Great basis for discovering the Tuscany.

Good breakfast, historic building, helpful staff, great views, location is great for exploration of Florence, Pisa and the other mountain towns around

Staff at times difficult to find, bathroom a bit outdated (water getting on floor from the shower), a little poor sound insulation

A good but fairly unremarkable hotel, well located for touring Tuscany or a stop off point. It is clean and my room was pleasant with a nice view over the coutryside, my travelling partners less so with a view of the village street. Very small onsite car park. Reception is well run by some very young staff and there is an onsite restaurant but I understand that it is not part of the hotel itself. I would describe breakfast as adequate, not the best I have had.

OK, I accept it was possibly a one off as we only had a one night stay here. The small reception was manned by three staff but the only waitress in the Breakfast room decided she had business elsewhere and had left the site, she came back later. A cleared table hard was to find and we had to chase up one of the receptionists to get a coffee!
