About this house rental
Situated in Hitchcock, this attractive house for $272 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. This lovely vacation home is located at Karankawa Beach (close to Jamaica Beach) and is a 2-MINUTE WALK TO THE BEACH with an outside HOT/COLD SHOWER AREA. If you're wanting a short walk to the beach, this is the beach for you! A quick 20-minute drive will take you to Moody Gardens! A golf cart rental facility across the street; although it is not needed! You will have a GREAT time sitting at one of the two balconies watching the ocean waves and hearing the seagulls overhead! This spacious 2 bedroom; 3 full bathrooms Galveston beach is ideal for your family! ANOTHER 2- minute walk from the home will take you to the favorite Nate's West End Restaurant for a great burger and a fully stocked grocery store! Pick up some steak or seafood to make a fabulous meal using our charcoal BBQ grill. During the summer, you can easily walk straight from the beach to the grocery store for an ice cream of your choice! Sunbathe at the beach and walk back to the home for a cold beer or iced tea, and easily return to your tanning at the beach. You can also surf the waves, build sandcastles with the kids and come back and grill (or have someone else grill) steaks and seafood! Many options are available for a grand family vacation stay! No major street to cross to get to the Beach! Two great balconies to enjoy the sunset on the beach in the evenings or drink your favorite morning coffee while enjoying the fresh sea air and listening to the ocean waves sitting on the top balcony. You will not be disappointed! Your children will love spending hours playing on the beach with the beach toys provided, return to the home exhausted and ready for some downtime! You will easily enjoy the proximity of the beach and all the conveniences offered at the home! We keep additional chairs for your use in a locked storage unit that can also be used to secure your fishing poles or bicycles. Bring your beach towels and head off to the beach. An outside shower with hot/cold water is available for washing away the sand when you return! Still not convinced this is the ideal beach home! . . . . . The beach home has 1314 Sq feet of living area, 2 spacious bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. A king bed in the master bedroom and a queen size bed with twin bunk beds will be found at the second bedroom! Each bedroom with its own bathroom. A third full bathroom is found upstairs at the living area with a well-stocked kitchen (minus the food). The beach home will accommodate 6 people in the bedrooms and 2 people in the sleeper sofa bed, for a sleeping capacity of 8! We also have 3 full bathrooms for your convenience. A cozy, “vertical” in its design (3 stories tall) townhouse in a quiet complex. It TRULY stands a walking distance from the beach (3-5min?). Two balconies catch the ocean breeze and are a nice addition to the living space, especially when the weather cools off. Lower balcony is fully shaded in the afternoon.

Overall a very comfortable property. Completely equipped kitchen with good new appliances. If you like to cook, you will be pleased with this kitchen. Nice partial beach view and easy access. Owner very accessible and helpful. Only a couple of concerns. Technology hard to use. (Each TV had 3 remotes and confusing directions all referred to the "Comcast remote". None of the remotes labeled "Comcast." No Fox sports so no Astros-Rangers playoff games. Never really got the tech figured out (And I am tech experienced) but you don't come to the beach to watch TV that much. For older guests, be aware no handholds in showers and high floor strips in doorways can be tripping issue. Also if stairs are a problem, this is not the spot for you. (3 floors of stair access) Apart from these issues, we had a nice stay and a comfortable place.

We had a perfectly relaxing beach getaway at this property! Great location! Beach is perfect for what we were looking for. Our 2 year old had a blast and my husband enjoyed fishing while I relaxed on the patios. House is kept clean and stocked with everything you need except the groceries! We loved how close the Seven Seas grocery store was when we needed just a few things at the end of our stay. It is a lot of stairs which I prepared myself for since I’m 8 months pregnant, so keep that in mind if you have mobility issues. Thanks for housing us for a memorable family trip before we become a family of 4!

Beautiful house! We felt right at home as soon as we arrived. Perfect for our 5 day stay. It had everything we needed, including a washer and dryer. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed for cooking. The beach was very private and only a short walk. We enjoyed every day of being there and wished we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend this home for a short or long trip!

Home and views are amazing. Was worried about a/c with as many times it was mentioned in check in info. No worries we froze the 1st night. The beach was cleaner than others we stoped at. Property is nice, great location, close to beach and Galveston, and great beach views from balconies. Beach is not as crowded as nearby beach where on-beach driving/parking is permitted. Very nice place to stay.

Doc's Quarters was a perfect spot for my dear friend and I to spend a long weekend. The beach access is easy and Jamaica Beach is a peaceful respite from the busier seawall area of Galveston. The condo had two lovely outdoor areas and when we weren't on the beach we sat outside talking for hours. The kitchen was perfectly equipped to prepare our meals. We really enjoyed our stay! The location is great. Away from the crowds in Galveston, but not too far away. The grocery store next door is well stocked and there are a few restaurants nearby. Plus the beach is right there! The house was perfect for our group. Very clean and had everything we needed! The storage closet has lots of beach items! We stayed 2 nights before our cruise but we’d definitely like to come back and spend more time here!

This cozy home was immaculate and organized with a nice little view of the beach from upstairs and downstairs balconies.
Good space for 2 couples or a small family. The bunkbed was suitable for very small children, but not for older kids. The host made every detail clear and was not only easy to communicate with, but pleasant.

This house was perfect! Very clean. Close to the beach. 20 min away from moody gardens. It worked super well for our family! The upstairs is pretty 1 year old proof with a baby gate. Nice outside deck. Will be back! Oh and bed was comfortable!!

After a week long conference in Houston I was just looking for a spot to unplug and relax. The spot was the perfect location away from the crowds, private beach, and we lucked out with a cool storm over the Gulf to relax to on a Saturday night. Absolutely ideal and will be returning.

A beautiful escape. This beach home had everything we needed and was cutely decorated. The beach is a easy walk and was not overly crowded.
