We had an amazing stay at Apple Homestay! The place is beautiful and the room was spotless and very comfortable. But the best part was definitely Susa, the owner. He was absolutely lovely and helped us with everything during our trip to Ella and beyond, especially with taxis and getting around. He really went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Highly recommend this place, not only for the beautiful homestay but especially for the wonderful owner! ❤️

The view over the valley was fabulous.
The bathroom was smelly and very basic. Beasties in the bedroom. Too far to walk into Ella, you need a tuktuk. EDIT: After writing this review we received rude and sarcastic messages from the owner on our phone. Note to owner: We are not the only guests to complain of smelly bathroom drains and insects (cockroaches, mosquitoes, beetles) in the bedrooms. It is not OK to privately harass guests who point this out to other travellers. Some people may be OK with insects and smells, others not. I took one point off for harassment, and removed my comment about a friendly, helpful owner.
