About this villa rental
Nestled in Karangasem Regency, this charming villa for $342 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. On top of a cliff with view of the beautiful bay of Candidasa stands our villa with tropical garden, infinity pool and amazing staff. The living room is connected to the kitchen, which is fully equipped. You can cook your own food or the staff can make delicious traditional dishes for you! There are numerous restaurants and Warungs within walking distance that lovingly serve the most delicious dishes. From the living room and kitchen you step through the enormous sliding doors onto the terrace with the infinity swimming pool and sunbeds. A walk in the garden takes you past delightfully scented flowers and fruit trees, after which you can cool off under the wonderful outdoor shower while enjoying the view of the bay. Due to the unique location of the villa, you can see the fishing boats sailing out in the morning and admire beautiful sunsets in the evening! On the top floor there are two bedrooms, each with its own luxurious bathroom, large balcony and air conditioning. *Please note that a luxury resort is currently being built next to the villa by a company called Neeco. Construction has been taking place since the summer of 2022. Since then, approximately 20 different groups have stayed in the villa, of which we have received 2 complaints (if you wish, you can view the reviews from the past months). Please take this into account when making your reservation.* Candidasa is a fishing village about 55 km from the airport at Denpasar. Most visitors come to Candidasa for the tranquility this place has to offer, in contrast to very touristy seaside resorts such as Kuta and Seminyak. In Candidasa you will find a variety of restaurants, warungs, temples and shops. The region of Candidasa is very suitable for diving, snorkeling, fishing, hiking and paragliding.

There's not much to say that hasn't already been said, the property and in particular the views are amazing, everywhere you look there is something new to see. I really enjoyed my time at Sumah Hill and most of the time was spent relaxing by the pool reading and swimming.
The staff were amazing and really looked after not just me but the villa was kept in immaculate condition for my whole stay.
If you are lookg for a place to relax and recharge this is the place and i woould 100% stay here again.
p.s yes, at the moment there is a little construction noise but it did not deter from my wonderful stay.
Look forward to staying and seeing everyone again.

It’s hard to describe how much we love Samuh Hill. It’s an awesome location, clean, spacious, and wonderful amenities. You certainly cannot beat the pool and view as well. That’s why we chose this place for our wedding. We planned it from afar and working with Hans and Wayan was a breeze.
What made it special and definitely sets it apart is Wayan, Lenore, and Ktut! Their hospitality and generosity is amazing! I have such admiration for the whole team. They went above and beyond to make our stay and our wedding ceremony perfect. Down to the tiniest details. They are some of the kindest and friendliest people, we enjoyed getting to meet and know them as much as we did staying there. We were so happy that they were a part of our day, and that Samuh Hill will always be the place and the people we remember!
We will definitely stay at Samuh Hill Residence again!

Everything about the staff, the villa, the view is just heaven!
We recognised the staff from our stay in 2019 and they once again just absolutely fantastic & went over and above for us :-) they are a true blessing!
The villas photos just do not do it justice, nothing beats seeing that view with your own eyes with the sun beaming down on you. Waking up early both mornings to see Mt Agung before the clouds is a must!
We had no issues with the noise from the resort being built next door so please don’t let this put you off! We barely heard a thing!
Thank you again for another wonderful stay, your villa is the reason we will continue to make the 15+ hour flight(s) every time just to get back to Bali & stay at Samuh Hill :-)

We had another amazing stay at this breathtaking property. Pool was stellar, living area spacious & bedrooms more than comfortable. As usual, the staff were great and always available if we needed something, be it extra pool towels or pizza delivery. The only thing that took away from a perfect 5-star stay was the construction noise next door, which was every day, from about 8am-5pm. We were not notified of this beforehand, which as returning guests, surprised us.

We absolutely loved spending Nyepi in this gorgeous surroundings and couldn’t have booked a better spot. Thanks goes to Wayan and staff - Balinese people are so giving and kind and they were no exception to that. What a beautiful property. We hope to make it back there someday!

Friendly . Villa is cleaned daily but perhaps more scrutiny could have been given to mould around the washbasins in the master toilet ;and to oiling the sliding doors in the living area so that the living area could be fully opened up

The view from the villa is majestic! I could see the ocean at almost 235 degrees. I also see the close and distal mountains with different levels of clouds. The staff were superb.
No shampoo was provided although it was mentioned in the listing. A coin laundry was mentioned, but was not available on the premises. The staff took the laundry and returned it cleaned. This is minor, however the only suggestion I have for the owner is to install AC units on the first floor. It was very hot down there. We spent most of out time in the cooled bedrooms if not outdoor or by the swimming pool.
Still it is a charming place!

I brought a client here for a private retreat experience and everything was so perfectly coordinated. Wayan helped organise everything from our yoga and massage sessions to liaising with the driver for our outings. The staff there were timely and attentive and made our stay just divine.

What an amazing experience!
My wife and I stayed at by far the best villa we have been to on our travels. Our aim was for a relaxing holiday where we didn’t need to do anything other than lay by the pool, swim, eat and enjoy a pleasant view. Well, we got more than we expected.
We arrived at night to beautifully placed lights highlighting special parts of the outside of the Villa. Then greeted by the most incredible, smiling staff - Madam Wayan, Lenor and Ketut, we received a tour of our home away from home.
The Villa was like those on TV holiday shows. Beautifully presented, immaculately clean and our first glimpse of the pool… WOW!
After a sleep in an extremely comfortable bed, we awoke to a view like none other. We were high on the hill overlooking the local fishermen and in the near distance the almighty Mount Agung in all her glory, looking down on us.
A quick message to Madam Wayan with our breakfast order and we settled in by the pool for 4 days of pure bliss.
And bliss is the best word I can use to describe it.
An extra perk was the ability to send a message to Madam Wayan with any need - for meals, for extra soda water, to organise a scooter for the day. Nothing was ever any trouble.
Lenor and Ketut spent each morning making the house look brand new again. The lovely surprise messages made from local flowers were an added touch.
The only negative to this entire trip was our need to leave. I was hoping the airline would send a cancellation message and we could have stayed there - indefinitely.
Madam Wayan, Lenor and Ketut are a true credit to the Villa. They take the villa to the next level. I hope we can come back one day.

This property is a paradise. The staff are full of love and ensure you are extremely well looked after. We had an amazing time. We dived (lovely to see some healthy corals teeming with life). We took boat trips, we visited temples and walked locally. All was arranged and facilitated by the fabulous team at Samuh Hill.
The food was incredible, but we also ate out at local restaurants. This is everything a family holiday should be.

- The beach downstairs, with its crystal water, fishing boats and nice Balinese local life
- The trips to Tirtagganga, Lempuyan, Amlapura, Teganan, White sand beach, … and all the beauties of Bali
- The walk to the temple on top of the hill with the little monkeys and the amazing views all along the road
- The delicious food (especially from Ganesh Lodge restaurant, whatever typical Balinese meals or European ones) tasted on site or delivered at the villa

It was nice experience staying at this villa with amazing view throughout the day and close to the beach. Great property manager and staff waiting for us till late evening when we arrived due to schedule change, also responsive towards our queries even late night when we had to. Great experience and wish we had more time but next time!

What a simply fantastic space, in a perfect location
WOW! Half way through my stay I had to drop the owner a quick note of appreciation. I am not sure that I would have changed anything about the property, everything was perfect about it.
The team that look after it were simply the best we met in Bali. We had booked three villas, all at similar price points that didn’t get anywhere close to the quality and care that the team lavished on us, and also the way they kept the property.
I won’t spoil your future stay by giving anything away, but if you are considering this place, or have short listed it, then go ahead and book it.
You will not be disappointed.

We had a brilliant stay. Hans the property owner was very helpful during the booking process and communicated great. We were collected straight from the airport and driven approximately 90 minutes to the property.
Madam Wayan (make sure to get her WhatsApp) and her staff were brilliant also. Very kind and curious and helpful with our 7 month old baby.
We were.not expecting them to stay at the property for so long, so we friendly said there's no need to wait around on us, you can go home no problem. That helped to make the experience a bit more private.
You can order food and drink direct from Madam Wayan's restaurant nearby and it will be delivered to you quickly. This is then paid for at the end of the stay.
Madam Wayan also arrange for us to visit a water temple and the virgin/white sand beach which allowed us to really enjoy the local area.
We walked down from the property, to the strip of restaurants, but the area wasn't really for us. Plus we loved Madam Wayan's food. So we ordered from her most nights.
Overall, a brilliant stay that if you can have the same experience as us, go for it!

Wonderful!
My husband and I were blown away with how beautiful the property is and the amazing views. We loved the geckos who joined us. Most of all we loved the staff. Kutut, Lenore, and Putu were fantastic. Between the 3 of them we had the hookup to do just about anything. They really made our stay special. Also this house is close to all of the great things to see in Bali so it’s pretty much perfect! We felt like royalty in this home as it lords above the village below. This originally was going to be a once in a lifetime trip, but we had such a wonderful experience that we plan on coming back next year. Thank you all so much for making our vacation a great one!

Peaceful Paradise Found!
A stunning location and view, with fabulous amenities and service. If you want to get peace, quiet, and a taste of luxury, then this is the place. Loved the private pool and sunning deck that have spectacular views both day and night. The staff go out of their way to serve you to the extent you desire, and are so genuine in their desire to serve. You can order your meals served at the villa, or take a short walk to many local restaurants or warungs (small family food joints). The villa is elegant, small and very private and away from the hustle and bustle, perfect for a couple wanting to get away from it all. The owner and property manager, and staff were all awesome to work with and staff if available to assist you daily with meals, tours, driver, massages, etc. Truly, this listing provides turn-key service. Loved it and would not hesitate to rent it again for any future trip to Bali. For those coming from the US, Canada or Europe-this place is spectacular, but know that there is only A/C in the bedrooms (fairly normal, but just know in advance). It gets very warm and humid during mid-day; however, mornings, evenings, and night are perfect by just opening the large glass doors, and having the ocean breezes. The pool makes it perfect regardless of the heat. Gardens are gorgeous too. Approximately 1 1/2 hours from the airport.

A beautifully designed villa with perfect views! It has all the amenities you need like a huge scenic infinity pool, big fridge with ice maker, water dispenser, oven/microwave, mini-bar. The Manager Ibu Wayan was ever so helpful to help out with bookings for your day trips and doing your groceries. The staff were the best we’ve ever had and so genuinely helpful and sweet! We truly enjoyed ourselves here. Plan to make this our base for next dive trip in Bali! Thanks Hans for the stay!

Certainly one of our best holidays!
