About this house rental
Located in Ocean Beach, this attractive house for $145 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. The House You are renting an entire home with approximately 600 square feet of space. Our previous guests have liked the location for their family retreat to the Zoo or Sea World bc they are both very convenient. The cozy living room for a quiet evening later in the day is waiting for you. The property features a full kitchen equipped with all-electric appliances. The living room includes a wood-burning stove insert for winter fires. For climate control, the house is equipped with an electric wall heater and two window air conditioners. This charming bungalow offers all the comforts of home and is reminiscent of the close-knit enclave of Ocean Beach from the 1960s. Parking Luckily we have a driveway. Two cars can park in tandem in the driveway; one behind the other. There is quite an angle to the driveway entrance so longer vehicles like RV or extra long trucks should park on the street. Street parking is often challenging in Ocean Beach. The Bedrooms There are two rooms, one is a master with an en suite bathroom. The bathroom is a shower/tub combo with a shower curtain for easy bathing of young children. The other room is very small but easily fits a cot we have put a good foam mattress there for a person who is about 6 feet tall. It is not as wide as a double bed and only accommodates one. The fourth person would sleep on the couch. It is comfortable but does not pull out into a bed. See the photos please. THE NEIGHBORHOOD And RULES The property is situated in a neighborhood that embodies the Ocean Beach spirit. Please note that it is not part of the new condo era, maintaining a unique character. It’s worth noting that at least one guest in your party must be 25 years old or older. The property has a strict policy against parties, events, or film groups. Unfortunately, no pets are allowed, and smoking is also prohibited. The property is licensed with the number 02738L. AMENITIES Within walking distance of the property, you’ll find various amenities. These include coffee shops, tea houses, Mexican food restaurants, a Vegan Raw Food establishment (Peace Pies), cleaners, bars, a 7/11 store, and Red Box video rentals. For entertainment, we provide a smart ROKU TV (use your Netflix and Hulu accounts) along with a DVD player. LAUNDRY For your convenience, there’s a front-loading stacked laundry in the bungalow. This means you can easily take care of your laundry needs during your stay. DISHES The property is well-equipped for meal preparation. You’ll find dishes, mugs, glasses, pots, pans, and small appliances available for your use. This includes a microwave, Mr. Coffee machine with filters, tea-making facilities, a toaster, and a blender. While there’s no dishwasher, a dish drainer, soap, and towels are provided for washing dishes. The refrigerator is full sized, the stove/oven is glass top. INSURANCE If you anticipate any travel-related issues, especially for longer stays, it’s advisable to purchase travel insurance. One recommended option is TravelGuard. Having travel insurance can provide peace of mind in case unexpected events disrupt your plans. OCCUPANCY. Please note that this cozy bungalow accommodates up to four people comfortably, with a cot for a third person and a couch for a fourth person for sleeping. We do not encourage groups over 4. The 5th person has a daily additional charge and would need their own mat for the floor. We have extra comforters. You’ll also have parking space for two vehicles in the driveway. AIRPLANE NOISE Keep in mind that Ocean Beach is in the flight path, so there may be intermittent noise from flights 6:00AM to 11:30PM. Some people can ignore the noise but some people cannot. A white noise machine is provided for your comfort. ATTRACTIONS. The property’s location is convenient for accessing popular San Diego attractions, including Sea World and the San Diego Zoo. Old Town San Diego, with its many restaurants and entertainment options, is also nearby.

Cute little place, close to Sea World, Old Town, 16min uber to Gaslight, Not far from Balboa Park (zoo). Resturants,Pubs and 7-11 all within waking distance. Place has everything you need.

This was our 2nd stay here. The house is very small but adequate for 2 or 3 people. Only negative was lots of ants in the bathroom. Neighborhood is a little sketchy but basically OK.

My husband and I chose this place for our anniversary. We knew that Ocean Beach was right in the flight path for the San Diego airport. What the owner did not say was how extremely close the house was. We truly tried to stay, but it was too loud, jets were flying over every few minutes and the surrounding neighbors were not hospitable as well. someone kept knocking on our window. We ended up having to find lodging elsewhere. That was more quiet and private. When we addressed these issues with the owner she actually talked to me in a very condescending tone, did not believe what I was telling her and treated me as if I were a very ignorant person. Her solution to all the air traffic was to close all the windows, turn the AC unit on and the TV very loud to drown out all the noise. But truthfully, no amount of white noise would’ve drowned out the sound of the Jets, or the shaking of the home as they flew by.

We loved our stay. The property was clean, well-maintained and had plenty of space for our family of 4. There were a few very good restaurants just a short walk away, and Ocean Beach was a short drive. Very convenient and comfortable.

It was nice for what we needed it for. The airplanes were a lot louder than expected. It was nice for 2 nights for the 3 of us. Just no where to unpack your stuff. So we had our suitcases open in the living room. Location was perfect for where we needed to be.

We enjoyed our stay in this little cottage. Close to all the things we had on our list. I had a couple of questions for the property owner and she exceptionally fast in her response, one of which required a repair person to be sent out. She arranged it very timely and we had the issue resolved quickly. 5 stars for her service

The place is cozy which was OK for us because we are out and about all day. Overall it was a nice place, my only critique is there are black spots (most likely mold) build up on the window blinds in the bathroom which can be easily taken care of by changing the blinds.

It was great to be walking distance from the beach, restaurants, shops and yoga studios and all of the neighbors were super friendly. Host responds very quickly and the house has all the amenities you need for a vacation at the beach. Would stay again!

Perfect location
The property was perfect for my two kids and myself. The location is awesome, so close to multiple beaches, the San Diego zoo, SeaWorld, the Marina and about 10 minutes from the airport.

Good value for money
Small well appointed house. Know it is on jet path but not bothersome for us as we’re gone most of day and airport quiet 11pm to 6 am. Sweet living area and well appointed kitchen, bath and master bedroom. A/C and fans available. Small bedroom bed needed a mattress topper for comfort. Location worked fine for us.

Got in on Wednesday and was able to make it to Ocean Beach and the dog park Beach before even checking into the house, 45 minutes after landing!!! Better try to make it to OB Farmers Market on Wednesday afternoon for food, produce and crafts!
The neighborhood looks a little run down, but not this property. A well maintained little gem!
It's not the Ritz, and could use a little interior paint touch up. Maybe a new coffee pot. And the placemats need washed. But, I was expecting a run down ramshackle and it was not at all!
Dene was quick to answer any questions. The neighbors were friendly but not social. Airplane noise I didn't much notice nor freeway noise.

Also, for anyone coming for a boot camp graduation, this is perfect and cheaper then a hotel since you don't have to pay for parking... rent a car, go explore a little, enjoy the area.

Absolutely Perfect
Arrival and check in was a breeze, the directions to find the listing were very detailed and made it easy to get back to the rental after every outting. There was a bit of humidity on Friday which was unexpected but it was nice to walk into a completely air conditioned rental, there was not one room that wasn't pleasant to be in. After unloading our supplies we realized we forgot a couple things so we popped out right before dinner. Everything you could possibly need is all within a 1-5 mile radius, so convenient and it made our stay very easy. The bed was very comfy, there were extra blankets and lots of pillows. The bathroom was clean, had lots of towels, plenty of counter space and the water pressure was great. The listing states it's close to the airport but we didn't really notice the noise. The little room in the back was great for storing all our gear out of the way, making it easy to set up for the next day, laying things out made it easier to see what was over packed. Being able to park in the driveway was great since the street parking was impacted, and we felt very safe during our stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Decent location but could use a little updating
We were fine enough here as a family, with kids from 2 years old to 9. It’s definitely an older place. I slept on the couch and made sure a blanket was under me since the couch cushions seemed pretty old. For families, it could use a small supply of plastic dishware. But the location did give easy access to the activities we had planned and we pretty much just used the home for sleeping, showering, and eating breakfast. It served its purpose fine. Management gave great communication and we had no problems while staying here.

This is a small but cozy place! great location to call home base while exploring San Diego. The door code was changed without our knowledge so we had to call the property manager right away, but she answered and we were in the house within 2 minutes! Would stay here again.
