Very bad service

Good location

Cafe played loud music at 7am that woke us up in the morning. Decided to order 4 breakfast sets for 7 of us to share but in morning hotel only gave 4 seats and asked 3 to go downstairs to eat

ドミトリーに宿泊しました。ベッドスペースは清潔感があり、マットレスがふかふかで寝心地がよかったです。他の方のマナーがとてもよく、静かに過ごすことができました。施設内はシャワーのみですが外湯に行けば問題なし。金の湯が8時から開いていたので朝湯も楽しめました。朝食はとても美味しかったです。カフェラテも選べるといいな～。

夕食をcafeでいただこうと思っていましたが、臨時休業だったのがとても残念です。ディナー予約しなかった私がいけないかもしれませんが、宿泊予約の際に教えてくださるとよかったなと。洗面周りは清潔感がなくサニタリーBOXもあふれていて不快感あり。軽く拭き掃除ができるような物が置いてあるといいなと思いました。他の方がトイレットペーパーの予備がなくて困っていたこともあり、もう少しケアしてもらえるとよかったです。その他に不満な点はありません。

ロケーションが良かった。

共用のスペースに、小さいテレビが欲しかった。ベッドの辺りが少し寒かった。シャワールームが狭すぎた。

Superb

It was much nicer and cleaner than expected, easy to find and convenient. The café looked really cute! I found the bedding very comfortable.

The only bad thing was the noise, as the beds were pretty creaky when going in and out. But I guess that’s just how it is when sharing a room with random people.

Comfortable and good for the price

Breakfast was very good. The croissants are amazing 😍 Very comfy thick mattress!! It's soft but not so soft and it makes you feel relaxed 😌 It was clean although I felt that the faucet could have been cleaned everyday: there were a lot of stains from other customers and guests. But nothing important. They give you a toothbrush and a towel. There's a fridge, a kettle, a microwave and a toaster. That's all. I recommend to buy the breakfast.

The environment is quiet. Other guests in dormitory can keep silent to avoid disturbing others.

breakfast is super delicious. The staffs are nice and can speak English fluently.

The owner is very nice and service and food is good.

The beds are very short (if you’re taller than 1,80m), the walls are paper, so you here everyone using the shared bathroom and especially the river from outside is quite loud (even with closed windows). Toilets were dirty

Wonderful stay! Wonderful staff!

Everything! Modern and well organized! Located in a unique spot at Arima Onsen with a wonderful staff! Amazing views and a very nice restaurant for breakfast and dinner.

Wouldn't go again

The place is very cozy.

A good deal for being in Arima, but overpriced by itself. The capsule is extremely small. There are unnecessary extra costs for late check in. I didn't like that I haven't been informed that I was the only female guest in the mixed dorm. The staff is not there at night as far as I know and I feld uncomfortable.

Probably would have been better if jerks would stop snoring.

The breakfast was really nice. The location was fine.

By trying to be both a cafe and a hostel, I think it fails at both. The washrooms are shared, so the cafe ends up having a bunch of guests doing their business in the cafe washrooms. It's really bizarre.

Good

I stayed at Brucke for 2 nights, the place is by the river so the view was pretty nice! Also, it's just 5 minutes walk downhill to Gin no Yuu and ~10 to Kin no Yuu. Great location but it's up a rather steep hill starting from ArimaOnsen Station so if you are carrying many heavy suitcases, I recommend to catch a taxi to the hostel. Haven't tried the breakfast but it looked yummy and the coffee was good!

Probably due to the location near the river, the room was very cold (I was there around Christmas/New Year) even with AC on full blast, and I could warm up only by adding 2 more duvets.. But I guess it's nice to have a chill room in summer :) Also, the sleeping room is located beneath the cafe/bathroom area, and the ceiling is woody and not really soundproof, so if someone is up and walking upstairs at night, you'll hear them loud and clear (nothing that earplugs can solve.. I had them with me, but it would have been nice to have them provided alongside the other toiletries).

Idyllic - a beautiful and welcoming setting, with delicious food, cosy beds, and great coffee.

The setting is stunning. Slightly up the hill at arima onsen. The cafe is idyllic and the facilities for the hostel shared room are precisely what frequent travellers will expect and appreciate. I travelled late in the day, arriving well after the last check in, the staff were very communicative through the booking.com app and assisted me with my arrival after hours.

The only issue some people might have with this place is that its a slight walk from the station (approx. 10 mins up and gradually increasing slope). A walk of this length is common in arima, so please dont feel put off and liaise with the hostel if you need assistance (they are very helpful).

Very good

The staff is really helpful and friendly. The hostel has a light German touch and is perfectly located for onsen and hikes to Mt. Rokko. The food and drinks were really amazing. So I would definitely recommend to try them.

Breakfast was great. Cafe is cute. Good alcohol selection. People were nice. Aesop soap. Right next to onsen day resort.

Wifi downstairs in dorm isn't strong but not a dealbreaker. Need to walk uphill but you walk along the river so it's nice.

The manager was very nice and welcoming, and the breakfast really was amazing as many people’ve already mentioned here. I guess Arima onsen area really is expensive, so, it is good that there is a hostel at least to stay if you don’t want to spend thousands of yen :)

They said that guests can not use the restaurant zone as a lounge out of working hours. The thing is restaurant upstairs is the place where internet works the best, and it’s pretty much nonexistent in the basement where the hostel is. So, you are not allowed to go and sit upstairs, but there’s almost no internet downstairs :( Good, that I did not have to work on my laptop that day. I bumped my head a lot when I was on the bed, so, guys, be careful.

I would go back again.

The hosts were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was good and worth paying for. I selpt very well, and anyone who complains about the river is talking rubbish. If I were in Arima again, I would stay there.

What I didn't like was the small portions. This does not include the breakfast which was good. The cafe / resturant is nice with great background music and the service is very good.
