The room was a good size and had a lovely view of the river from our window. The bathroom was a little dated, but the room was a good value for the money and we had plenty of space. The breakfast was a typical German breakfast buffet. Briedern is a very quiet village in late October, so there was not much going on at all. If you want nightlife or things to do in the afternoon, this is not the place to stay. It is, however, a good base if you have a car or a bike.
We were looking forward to visiting the hotel's cellar bar after dinner. Unfortunately, the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke when we opened the door made us immediately turn around. A definite disappointment.

Very kind and friendly staff, spacious family room. Breakfast was quite good for a small hotel.
Pillows could be more comfortable, the shower was leaking, noise from neighbors above and a hall.

Amazing location and amazing staff.
Bed was too soft and the property was very expensive. Windows could use a mosquito net to prevent insects in room
