We loved the novelty of the whole experience, discovering a part of Ireland we hadn’t explored before and hearing some of its stories. It’s a fantastic community initiative and we loved seeing what has been created to help bring life back into the village. Everyone we met was great fun, welcoming and informative.
The location couldn’t have worked better for us. The river setting is glorious and the boat trip was absolutely worth doing. Even our potter to and from the pier became a memorable part of the weekend!
As a large family group, the Eco Pods were perfect because we had the whole place to ourselves and could really enjoy being together. We made good use of the BBQ and picnic area, and some of us even managed to check out the local pub!
Not a complaint, just a suggestion: some covered communal seating would be a great addition, especially for larger groups to gather, given our unpredictable Irish weather.
The pull-out section of the sofa bed was a little uncomfortable, so perhaps something to consider when upgrading.

We were a family group of 15, so this was perfect as we had it all to ourselves. The pods are very comfortable. We did the boat trip too snd really enjoyed it

I'm a regular visitor to the Eco Pods, having fallen in love with the place the first time we visited. The staff are amazing. It's a community enterprise. And the local village is just so relaxing, we try to visit once a year if we can.
There's nothing I don't like about the Eco Pods...however as per the description it is a small, compact space...so be prepared for that.
