Located in Menaggio, this lovely house for $768 per night is a great option for your next break. This Villa is a stunning villa set in the hillside just above Menaggio – high enough to benefit from the seclusion of a private road but close enough to walk into the town centre in less than 20 minutes. The unspoilt view of the lake is a full 180 degrees taking in Villa Gaeta – which featured in the recent James Bond film \'Casino Royale\' - on one side and all the way over to Bellagio on the other. The villa has extensive outdoor lounging and eating areas - there are 3 terraces, the main one being around 100sq metres in size. Due to its prominent position, the villa enjoys the sun from around 7am until early evening. This detached Villa is arranged over 4 floors with 4 bedrooms and an ultra modern interior. As the first floor is designed as a fully contained 2 bedroom apartment, this offers flexibility to the accommodation, it is possible to benefit from the added privacy if required – for example when two families or friends are holidaying together. In the evening the lights from Bellano, Varenna and Bellagio along with numerous other mountain villages on the other side of the lake create a dramatic backdrop for dining on the terrace. With Menaggio only a few minutes away and ferry connections to the villages around the lake, the Swiss border 30 minutes by car and Lugano 40 minutes, St Moritz and Madesimo an hour and a half and Milan about an hour away, the villa is in a perfect position for a base to explore the treasures of the area – However, once you have see the magical views and enjoyed the amenities of the villa there is a very good chance that you will want to spend your entire stay on the lake just relaxing in luxury. The villa with free wifi is accessed by a gated tunnel which leads to the private garage with automated doors. The ground floor has a laundry and utility area and a lift that services all 4 floors From the elevator on the first floor you will be welcomed by a modern, luxurious and very light open plan living and kitchen area, with beautiful lake views and doors to the main terrace. There are two double bedrooms on this floor, one of which has direct access to the main terrace and full views over the lake. There is also a bathroom with bath and overhead shower. On the second floor, the stunning kitchen is fully furnished and provides all the necessary gadgets. The central island with built in Teppanyaki grill and seating is perfect for entertaining. The chic dining area can seat a party of 8 and the living area offers comfortable sofas, flat screen TV with Sky, and wall-mounted Bang & Olufsen CD player. There are three glass doors along one side of the room which look directly over the lake and lead to a balcony which runs the full length of the house. There is another sliding door which leads to the villa\'s sunny terrace, which offers comfortable outdoor dining for up to 8 as well as panoramic lake and mountain views. This floor also provides a modern and stylish toilet. Accommodation above is made up of a double bedroom and the Master suite which comprises of a generously proportioned walk in wardrobe which includes a fridge, a large high \'ceilinged\' sleeping area with views over the lake and access to a sunny terrace. There is also a bathroom with large shower. The second bedroom also has views over the lake and a series of very spacious wardrobes. A finely furnished bathroom with bathtub and overhead shower is also located here. As well as the sunny private outside terraces to wine and dine on, guests can also enjoy the shared swimming pool, which boasts stunning lake views. There are two pizzerias which are less than 10 minutes walk from the villa and the area also includes tennis courts that offer professional lessons and a golf course plus numerous scenic walks. Please note that the pool is open from the 1st of May 2024 to the 30th of September 2024

We had a lovely stay, but I think the description of the property needs to be updated. The shared pool is a difficult walk up about 8 flights of stairs, and the entry to the villa is up a very steep road (what more can you expect from a villa with those views? just mention it in the description). We did however love the stay and will go back to Menaggio at some point. Paul, Clare, Lucy, George and Judy.

We had a wonderful time staying at Villa Panoramica. The villa is beautiful and has stunning views. The villa is delightfully perched above Menaggio. (It is a steep 20 minute walk down to town, but a longer return). And the location worked extremely well as a base for our family to explore the Lake Como region. The kids enjoyed the shared pool (located up and behind the villa), and all of us enjoyed the tremendous views. The doors and windows open capably and kept the place comfortable in the summer heat. We would happily rent the place again.

The most important issue is that for our whole stay, WE DID NOT HAVE HOT WATER.! We rented out the Villa for 16 days and this problem was resolved the day before we left. The technician had to come everyday to turn on the hot water, therefore we got a late start every day. The other issues...The bathrooms had mold and soap scumb, one of the pillows had a blood stain, the kitchen appliances were full of grease grime and the utensils were dirty. The bead spreads had stains. I have pictures of all of this. The sun bed cushions were dirty and stained......

August 2016 We had a wonderful time. I particularly liked watching the sunrise and sunset over the mountains. Our daughter loved Jungle Raiders. We enjoyed the villa! Our favorite restaurant was La Baita. We also liked Barcola. Did not have a bad meal out. We liked Ristorante La Madonnina in Domaso as well. Thanks for your service. Once we found the office and new where to park, things turned out well. The boat rental is well worth it.
