About this house rental
A beautiful and cozy cottage nestled in a spacious garden beside another property in charming Hveragerði, often called the hot spring capital of the world and located within the Golden Circle. Supermarkets, shops, a bakery, bank, tourist information, and other services are all within walking distance.
The cottage includes one bedroom with a queen bed and a living room with an additional queen bed. It features simple cooking facilities with a small stove, microwave, fridge, bread maker, and basic kitchen essentials.
A loft with an extra double bed is usually closed off but can be opened upon request for a small cleaning fee. Half of the loft upstairs is used as storage room and cant be accessed.
The cottage sits in a large garden shared with another house that is not always in use. Guests are welcome to enjoy the outdoor space, including the tables and chairs outside the main house.
Nearby is the famous Reykjadalur hot spring valley, where a scenic hike leads to a naturally heated river where you can bathe in nature. Along the way you’ll enjoy beautiful landscapes and geothermal hot springs. I also highly recommend the town’s wonderful geothermal swimming pool, known for its warm water and spacious setting.

We stayed at this cozy cabin for one night between touring the south coast and on our way north. This was perfect for our family of four (which includes two teenagers). We requested to use the loft bed, which the owner readily allowed us to do (very minimal additional fee and totally worth it!). The beds were comfortable, the cabin very clean, WiFi worked great, and there was plenty of room to move around, so we didn’t feel at all cramped. It’s situated in a lovely garden area and behind a home, but we had complete privacy. Helga is so easy to communicate with and responds quickly to any questions. Watched her videos provided with the check in info and had no problem finding this place. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Clean, comfortable, and conveniently located near town. Everything was spotless upon arrival, and the home had everything we needed for a great stay. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Great location and very nice place to stay for a couple. It is small and well prepared. The shower is tiny but the water is hot with great pressure. Bed is smaller for two people with a comfortable mattress. Host was kind and made check in very easy. Would recommend for two people visiting Iceland. Town is perfect with shops and great restaurants.

We basically arose early, usually stopping at Amari Bakari every morning. Most nights we didn’t get back till 9:30-11:00 P.M., good place to launch from, especially things close to Reykjavik and the Golden Circle. A lot of driving to places like Hofn and the Glacier experiences . Over all a good stay for us, a little small for us, but worked fine!!
