About this house rental
Right on the beach, 20 metres from the high water mark just south of Paekakariki. Renovated to highest modern standards including fully equipped modern kitchen, walk-in shower with heated tile floor and heated towel rail in main bathroom, separate toilet downstairs, double glazing throughout, 2 sets of lieback bi-fold doors leading to beach-side lawn and balcony off main bedroom with glass balustrade to give uninterrupted view of Kapiti Island and the sea.
Stunning sea, sunset and Kapiti views and you might be lucky to watch a para-glider land on the beach in front of your holiday home. A totally relaxing experience where if the weather is fine you can go for long beach walks or just sit on the lawn and watch the waves, the seagulls or watch the sun go down. Or if it is wet you can just curl up with a book or look out and see the many moods of the sea. It is a 15 minute beach or bush walk to Paekakariki Village with 3 wonderful cafes, the village grocer which has everything you need. Just like an ‘old fashioned’ grocery store. Train station 15 minutes walk or 5 by car. Leave your car there to visit Wellington. 10 minutes by car to Coastlands Shopping Centre. The start of the Escarpment walking track from Paekakariki to Pukerua is 10 minutes walk away.
And if you don't want to cook Fisherman's Table Restaurant is just 3 minutes walk.

Love this place, and it's stunning location - with the towering Paekakariki Hill behind you, and the wild sea and coastline view right on the edge of the front lawn. It is so peaceful and remote, yet also has Fisherman's Table right next door and 1 min drive to the lovely Paekakariki township ;) Penny & Bas are great hosts, and are right next door, but ensure your complete privacy and have the place looking beautiful every time, love the beach artwork around the place too. & Thank you Penny for the cheese scones!! ;)

This glorious space was the perfect combination for us. A homely , well outfitted space right on the edge of the beach with stunning views to Kapiti Island and over to the top of the Marlborough Sounds. Needless to say the sunsets were quite beautiful. Such a quiet space with the only sound being that of the sea. The owners, who live next door, were so kind and thoughtful ensuring we had everything we needed, arriving in later in the day to find they had dropped the newspaper to our door. Paekakariki village is a short drive, with access up the coast an easy drive. So plenty to do while you are staying. We highly recommend this property and give it a 10/10 in every respect.

We enjoyed our stay, plenty for the children to explore and do.Very well set up unit and Penny is very helpful with information and making sure we were comfortable. Would highly recomend.
