Located in Abbott Loop, this lovely house for $746 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. This is our fourth year doing VRBO and we are looking forward to meeting you. The house is special for many reasons; read our reviews and hear from others. If privacy and outdoor charm are important to you; this is the place for you! We built this home and take pride in the details, down to the art work in each of the 4 bedrooms. The master bedroom has french doors that open to a deck that is a perfect for taking in coffee at sunrise. The Caribou Room, Goat Room, and Whale room have wonderful views and are set apart from the Master Bedroom. Our reviews rate our private setting, evenings around the fire pit and wide porches as our best amenities. Book your Alaskan get-away and see what the good life in Alaska has to offer. We loved this home and location. It was perfect for our family of nine. It is spacious, clean, wonderfully decorated, and well stocked. The children enjoyed playing basketball and the toys that were there for them to play with. Our grandchildren LOVED the chickens! Oh the memories we took home with us. It was lovely meeting Kim! We highly recommend staying here. We are grateful for their great hospitality.

Our family of 9 truly enjoyed the house. It was well stocked, clean, Kim was easy to reach and of course, the chickens! The grandkids enjoyed feeding the chickens and looking for fresh raspberries. It stopped raining so we could have a fire one night. You felt you were out in the country but everything you needed was just a short drive away. Only regret was that we were only able to stay 2 nights. We will definitely stay again! Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to stay in your lovely house. The mountain goats were a big hit also.

If I could rate this place 10 stars, I would! Wow! It’s better than the pictures. I traveled to Alaska with my husband, two teen kids and two Grandmas. There’s so much space here that I always had a place to relax by myself and zone out after a long day. My Mom and the kids truly enjoyed the chickens! It was so fun watching them and taking pics and videos. Kids are still talking about it. I’m planning my next trip to Alaska BUT it will be around the availability of this house.

What a pleasure to stay in this wonderful home with Jim and Kim as hosts. I can't say enough about how great the house is, how much we enjoyed the chickens and collecting eggs each day, experiencing the beauty and ruggedness of Alaska with all the comforts of home coming back to this house at the end of along hike or river trip and the warm welcome and assistance we always received from our hosts. A great experience for children and adults alike! We hope to be back soon and we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else!

We chose to stay at this house when visiting Alaska for a wedding and could not be happier with our choice. The house has an authentic Alaskan feel to it. The property is absolutely beautifully set on private acreage. If you love nature, this is the house for you. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the chickens and collecting eggs from the coop every morning (which was optional). Also, Kim was so accommodating and understanding of special requests we had. She added a pesonal touch to an already amazing experience. Thank you Kim !

This was our 2nd visit to Alaska but our 1st renting a property. We could not have asked for a better property to rent and host. The property made you feel like you were home. You never lacked for anything with added bonuses of fresh eggs and sitting by the fire pit at night. Jim & Kim thank you for sharing your home!!!

My wife and I stayed in this beautiful home with my adult children, two grandchildren and my 86-year old mother and it was absolutely perfect. The owners were helpful and available to answer questions. Everything was clean and comfortable and met all of our expectations. We would highly recommend this home to anyone. Our grandkids still have not stopped talking about checking the chicken coup for eggs each morning!

Originally from Anch, but 25 years since last visit....this was the perfect start to our trip! Wish we had more time at the house, but grateful for our short time. Terrific property!

We had the real pleasure of staying here for three days after a cruise/land tour. A great end to a wonderful vacation. The home was comfortable, clean and close to necessary shops but oh so quiet at night !! Great nights sitting around the fire pit. Kim and Jim are great to work with and made it a very relaxing stay! Loved it !!!!
