Wonderful location, seemingly very remote but near, but not in sight of, a main into Sarlat A beautiful historic quarter with plentiful cafes and restaurants. I guerrilla it would be crowded in summer but perfect in first week of June.Lots of outside space and plentiful supply of tables and chairs perfect for breakfast on the patio or dinner off the barbecue, in the garden. Lots of plates, glasses and cooking stuff every thing you need. The only comment is that there is very little kitchen work surfaces to prepare food. We were okay as we used the patio table but if that was not possible it would be a problem. It is a shame that there are two outside doors in the kitchen which means that it is not possible to extend the work surfaces. That being said we would go back if we were to visit the area again. We saw most things in a week but two would be better. Our highlight was the Jardin d'Eau. Don't miss it!2 good supermarkets within 2 miles.

Beautiful property in a beautiful location with countryside views all around - yet only 5 minutes from Sarlat old town.The property was in need of an airing when we arrived but this could have been down to us being the first renter for the season.The upstairs bedrooms were quite dark due to the old wooden beams and the excessive amount of wood cladding in both bedrooms. The weather was very warm and the heat was quite uncomfortable for sleeping overnight despite the availability of floor standing fans.The outside space was excellent and the front terrace was a great place to spend time either soaking up the sun or sitting in the evening shade.All in all, an excellent gite.
