We loved our stay. Highly recommend The Arthouse for large family or a group getaways.

We loved the location in terms of closeness to the Hunter Valley Gardens and other venues, the comfortable beds and 4 of the 5 rooms being en-suite. The house is spacious with lots of places to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. We loved the cellar room. We loved the open fire. Overall, it's a fabulous place to stay.

There are lots of steps up and down to the bedrooms, which were a bit tricky with our luggage, but manageable. We were expecting the location to be less suburban, but it was still very nice. There really isn't much to not like about this property.

very comfortable- wish it was for longer

3 levels- plenty of bedding options- plenty of bathrooms - and great additional bits

didn’t get to use all due to short stay - fire spa deck etc - gated community requiring access codes - meaning our taxi to venue could not gain access

A lovely spacious house with bonus kangaroos!

Lots of living space, the spa was lovely, the kangaroo visitors in the backyard were a bonus. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds very clean and comfy. It is so central to some great cellar doors and a short drive to everything you would need.

The only things missing from the house were mosquito or fly repellent or coils for when sitting on the balcony and boxes of tissues. We tried but couldn't find the pool/spa in the complex. After asking where it was, we were told a 10 minute walk from the house but no directions. We got the impression that visitors weren't really welcome/encouraged to use those facilities even though they are advertised as part of the price.

I loved that the place accommodated all of my family. Everything was supplied. It was very relaxing and the accommodation was 1st class. Highly recommend.

Disappointed. Very poor communication before stay and at the property.

The location was great.

Really disappointed. Me and my girlfriends have a weekend away every year, and this is the first year that didn't meet our expectations. Firstly, our booking was during the Omicron outbreak, and they would not consider rebooking us even though we had healthcare workers and vulnerable people in the group - which ultimately meant not all of our usual group could attend. The instructions for entering the property were vague, and we needed to ring to get more specific instructions - and the girl we spoke to was quite blunt and rude. It was a warm day when we arrived, and the house was VERY hot inside, and the instructions for the air-conditioning were also very vague, and so we suffered the first night as the house did not cool sufficiently. There were no instructions at all for the spa, which was also far too hot to enjoy. We couldn't even all enjoy a decent coffee as there were not enough pods for us all (we only stayed 2 nights!). After departure, despite receiving an email that we had paid for the accommodation in full, my credit card was charged an additional $70, without any notification or receipt/tax invoice. It appears that there was a price change I agreed to but this was very poorly communicated. We wouldn't recommend staying here.

The house was great for a group of couples.. 4 of the bedrooms with ensuite’s .. location was great , outdoor spa and indoor fire place added to ambiance.. beds were very comfortable..staff were helpful ..

No shower for the 5th bedroom unless you used one of the ensuite’s .. the house was not clean..we had to wash the cutlery (including the trays in the draw)/crockery/glassware and also wipe down the tables and rails.. we also had a problem with cockroaches.. it needs a really good detailed clean .. no cable TV only free to air.. no option of early checkin even when the house was not used the day/s previous to our stay....garbage already in both the recycle and general waste bins when we arrived..
