Everything was great, Kevin and Quincy are great hosts to start with, very helpful and attentive with great vibes. Not only them but also the travelers I got to meet at the hostel are also pretty cool people, we got to do a lot of things together and it felt like a nice community. Hostel's location is also great. Offers some great restaurants and a nice beach doorfront to have the opportunity to surf as well.

Jaca Hostel in Porto da Cruz was an absolute dream - I travelled solo and had considered this place to be more of a pitstop, but it was so nice to be in such a warm, homely place, with such lovely people!

Was really easy to find, well labelled, close to the sea and good food stops. Staff were so lovely and welcoming, place was a good vibe, felt very homely

Was nice, the room was clean and good for us.
The room was too warm and no fan or air conditioning which forced us to keep the window open and the noise from the restaurant next door and the people on the street were very loud until around 12:00, if they had a fan in the room the problem would be solved.
