My time at ARTuur was fantastic. I loved the quiet location and the swift responses from the host Sophie. I felt like staying with a friend. The facilities are well explained and the environment always kept in mind. I had such a good night sleep.
I wasn't aware of the having to pay for the local city tax in cash. But that is on me. Make sure to have cash on you.

Little bit of a walk from the train station, but not a bad one considering you're in Bruges. Easy to find and easy check-in (you go in through the door to an art gallery), communication was great, too. My friend and I were on the top floor, that unit is split into two rooms (which worked well for us). We had to walk down stairs to use the shared facilities, but that wasn't a problem. The shower was nice and hot and the bed was comfortable. The space was clean and had an artsy vibe about it. There's a nice spot to sit outside, too. It was a great location to explore the city and just enough off the beaten path to not be surrounded by tourists. I'd definitely recommend a stay at ARTuur.
If you struggle with stairs, this might not be a good location for you.

The location was good. Heater was working perfectly; everything was clean.
Toilet and shower are not attached; it is a shared facility. There is no bin inside the room. Although there are bins outside the room. Coffee or tea and kettle are not provided inside the room. It is an extra service. You need to pay extra for coffee and that is outside of the room.
