About this house rental

★ RATED A TOP VRBO's BY WASHINGTONIAN MAGAZINE ★
Stay in a one-of-a-kind piece of DC history: a 100-year-old corner store reimagined as a spacious, design-forward rowhome sleeping up to 14. Perfectly positioned where Eckington, Bloomingdale, NoMa & Shaw meet — steps from Michelin-recognized dining, Union Market, and the Metro. Ideal for families, reunions, wedding parties, and group getaways to the nation's capital.

The Space:
Two full levels of living, four bedrooms, and three full bathrooms give your group room to spread out and come together. The open-concept main floor flows from a light-filled living room to a chef-ready kitchen with breakfast island and full dining area — the perfect gathering space after a day of sightseeing. Two bedrooms and two full baths complete the main level.

Downstairs, a private lower level functions almost like a second apartment: two more bedrooms, a third full bath, comfortable lounge space, and a dedicated laundry room. Memory foam mattresses throughout, fast WiFi, a dedicated workspace for remote work, smart-lock self check-in, and a crib and extra sleeping options for flexible group configurations. City skyline and courtyard views round out the character of this truly unique home.

The Neighborhood:
You're at the crossroads of three of DC's most exciting neighborhoods — with a fourth, NoMa, just blocks away.
Bloomingdale (5–10 min walk): Tree-lined Victorian rowhouse streets and some of the city's best neighborhood dining — The Red Hen (Michelin Bib Gourmand Italian), Boundary Stone, The Pub & The People, and beloved Big Bear Cafe for morning coffee and pastries. Don't miss the Sunday farmers' market or a stroll through Crispus Attucks Park.
Union Market District (15 min walk / 5 min drive): DC's famous food hall with 40+ vendors, plus La Cosecha Latin market, breweries, boutiques, and rooftop dining. A must-visit for any food lover.
Shaw & U Street Corridor (short walk or ride): Nationally acclaimed restaurants, craft cocktail bars, live music at the historic 9:30 Club and Howard Theatre, and DC's best nightlife.
NoMa: Trader Joe's, Harris Teeter, Alethia Tanner Park, and the Metropolitan Branch Trail — perfect for a morning run or bike ride past some of DC's best murals.

Getting Around:

NoMa–Gallaudet Metro (Red Line): ~15 min walk — direct to downtown DC
Union Station: 1 mile — Amtrak, MARC & VRE for day trips to Baltimore, Annapolis & beyond
U.S. Capitol & National Mall: ~1.5–2 miles — quick rideshare or scenic walk/bike
Walter E. Washington Convention Center: ~1 mile
Howard University & Children's National: minutes away
Easy access to New York Ave/Route 50 & Rhode Island Ave for drivers; street parking typically available

Whether you're here for the monuments and museums, a graduation at Howard or Gallaudet, a convention, a wedding, or a family reunion, this home puts all of Washington, DC within easy reach — with space, character, and comfort you won't find in a hotel.

Will was a great host and the house was perfect for a group of friends in town to explore DC.

Will was such an amazing host. I contacted him a day before the trip to see if I could book, because our previous place had gotten cancelled last minute due to roofing issues. Will was very understanding and allowed me to book. I told him it was my birthday that Saturday and we were going to bring it in that Friday night, and he even had champagne and a speaker waiting for me! The place looks exactly how it does in the pictures and it accommodated 8 of us very comfortably with room to spare. Would highly recommend booking here! Plenty of parking, neighborhood was nice and close to some hot spots in DC. Overall amazing experience for my birthday!
