Close to bus stops, supermarkets, clean tidy apartment, nothing was too much trouble, host very welcoming and friendly.
Main road was noisy when the windows were opened but the double glazing was good.

The location is excellent, with plenty of cafés, restaurants and breakfast options nearby – including a café directly below the apartment. It was also reasonably priced for the area, very clean throughout, and the host was friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Unfortunately, there were quite a few issues with the apartment itself. The biggest problem was the WiFi, which was so weak and unreliable that it was essentially unusable during our stay, so we had to rely on mobile data instead.
The apartment also gets extremely hot and stuffy, even when the weather outside isn’t particularly warm. There are a couple of fans provided, which help a little, but not enough. Opening the windows makes it more comfortable, but there is quite a lot of noise from outside, particularly sirens. Obviously that isn’t something the host can control, but it’s worth being aware of if you’re a light sleeper or staying during warmer weather.
The bathroom was the weakest part of the apartment. There was a sewage-like smell from the sink when it was used, the door handle came off in our hand, and there were cracked tiles around the shower. There was also a mop and bucket stored in the bathroom, which made it feel a little less pleasant. Toiletries were very basic – there was no shower gel, just a bottle of cheap shampoo.
The bedding also felt fairly low quality, and there were dirty used towels left inside the washing machine when we arrived.
Check-in was friendly, but it does require meeting the host in person at an agreed time. I would have much preferred a self check-in option, as having to commit to a specific arrival time after booking makes travelling into London less flexible.
A TV and coffee machine would have been nice additions, although otherwise the apartment had the appliances we needed.
