Cute apartment but disappointing service. Not worth it.

On the plus side, the apartment was cute, very clean, and had a great bathroom.

Communication with the host was pretty bad. I disclosed ahead of time that we were coming with small dog and the time of our arrival. There was no mention of an added fee for the pet and no communication about how to check in. When we arrived, I had to search through the listing, where I learned that there's a lock box. Nobody had sent a code. I tried calling but didn't get an answer. I sent an email and a message through our booking. Finally, after almost a half-hour of waiting, we received what seemed to be a standard, generic welcome with info about the code, parking, and that we would have to make an appointment to meet them and pay for the apartment in person at a cafe. Since we had already paid in full for the apartment over the website, I didn't think that applied to us. A couple of days later, we were relaxing inside at home when I thought I heard a knocking coming from the back. (There was a glass door in the bedroom leading to the deck.) I wasn't sure what I had heard, so resumed what I was doing. Then, we heard a knock that sounded like it was INSIDE. Before we could react, a woman walked INTO the kitchen! She came through a door that was locked from our side, which we thought was private storage. Our little dog went nuts, barking, and we were alarmed and flustered. She didn't speak English and my German is not great, but we figured out she wanted us to fill out a form and pay 6 Euros for city tax. I was appalled. She wasn't wearing a mask, hadn't emailed or called to tell me she was arriving, and didn't come knock on the front door like a normal person. It was so unacceptable for her to just walk into the kitchen in the middle of the day, it quite ruined our trip. When I wrote later to express my dismay, she didn't apologize. She simply said I should have contacted her about the city tax although she hadn't communicated that.

Es waren drei wunderschöne Tage in Havelberg. Auch Dank der hervorragenden Unterkunft.

Eine richtig gemütliche Ferienwohnung. Alles hat gestimmt. Der Blick von der Terrasse auf den Dom, einmalig.. Alles fussläufig zu erreichen. Sehr gute Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin. Freundlich, nett, zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück am letzten Tag im Altstadt Café war sehr lecker. Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt in Havelberg.

Eine richtig gemütliche Ferienwohnung. Alles hat gestimmt. Der Blick von der Terrasse auf den Dom, einmalig.. Alles fussläufig zu erreichen. Sehr gute Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin.
