Very clean, friendly and accommodating. The guesthouse is spacious and located in a 300 year old building with an extremely tastefully designed interior. Checking in and out is seamless and one feels safe and at home. The guest house also provides useful tips for eating out, sightseeing etc. and has a nice cafe at the ground floor.

Loved the location! Perfect for Old San Juan. The breakfast was delicious. We really enjoyed using the Jacuzzi, we used it every night. Staff was so lovely and so accommodating. Our room was perfect! Freddy upgraded us to a balcony room so we enjoyed the balcony for an early morning coffee and relaxing at night. Rooms were clean and comfy, incredibly well restored! The property is so well maintained and beautiful, would absolutely return for another stay!

We had a bad experience with some staff at this hotel. I believe they lack training on how to address their concerns and reinforce rules with guests and overall communication was impolite and at times aggressive by part of the night shift staff. I was unable to enjoy the whirlpool and had to leave it as the night staff became rude to me because I had not signed up for the list two times in a row (only once). Minor things become a big deal and a fuzz in this hotel. I felt constantly policed and unwelcome there. For instance, we were not allowed to listen to our music in our room at 11am, according to them too loud. I wanted to talk to the manager but all I got was a written message. The room they gave us had no proper window or natural light. It was dark most of the time. We asked to change it but they said the hotel was fully booked. We just saw one couple during our entire stay. Also, we asked for a late check out and all they gave us was a warning message saying among many things that we could not stay longer and that there was a fine of 150 USD for leaving late. The communication again was unpleasant and unhelpful. The hotel was empty and they didn't make any effort to accommodate us well. We won't return. Also note the shower was cold in the last day, which is unacceptable for the price range we paid 400 USD/night.
