The guesthouse is strategically located very close to the boarding terminal for the ferry to Sicily and the railway station, about 300-400 meters away. The cleanliness is top notch. We benefited from easy access to a common space, equipped with a refrigerator and coffee machine. The owner offers the possibility of purchasing basic products (water, snacks, beer...) at reasonable prices (coffee and tea are free). Our room was very quiet and had a beautiful view of the sea and the island of Sicily. We also benefited from a fairly spacious balcony. Giovanna helped us a lot, providing us with a lot of information about shops, restaurants or helping us with transport. Guests are also offered the possibility of transportation to and from Lungomare or Scilla at reasonable prices.

Walking distance to the beach. But taking into account that the price is much lower compared to the accommodations located near the beach (and the offer regarding the transport to the beach), this guesthouse is a serious option to consider

Wonderful people who run this B&B, so friendly! And the bed was the best bed I had in all of Italy!! We stayed for one night just for the Ferry the next day to Sicily and it was a great and clean stay.

It was in r.a great location and had everything you needed.

I would rather have a private kitchen area but the common one had everything easily accessible and had a great coffee maker.

Convenient location close to station and ferry. Very clean. Very comfortable (most comfortable bed of our long trip). Host responds fast and is kind and helpful. From balcony can see Sicily. We had coffee and breakfast on the balcony 😊. Highly recommended.

Nothing - all good. Villa San Giovanni itself is convenient to stay in for ferry, but quite a lot of shops/cafes closed in early May while we were there, and the first section of the path along the coast was blocked off for repair. Still we found several good places to eat!

We booked 'Deluxe Doppelzimmer mit Meerblick' ("This double room has a balcony, electric kettle and microwave") but there was virtually no 'Meeresblick'. Fotos were misleading. Host was not very friendly, rather business-like. Kettle and MW were avialble for all guests in the lobby, so surcharge for 'Deluxe Doppelzimmer mit Meerblic' was not justiefied.

convenient to the ferry, good price, the staff were very accommodating and the room was comfortable. there’s an elevator, free parking on the street, and the shower was nice and hot!

We needed a place to stay for 1 night. This is in walking distance to the train station and the marina. The beds are one of the most comfortable we have sleept in here in Italy. It's clean and newly renovated. Good service and good price. We are very satisfied.
