Villa could be lovely, but equipment and facilities are very tired and in urgent need of an upgrade. Cleanliness and general condition of furniture and equipment not where it should be - kitchen utensils and sunbeds were particularly poor. Overall condition of the Villa was disappointing and did have a negative impact on our holiday. Owner did try to rectify some issues we reported

Lourdas beach is a five minute drive away and is quiet and sandy with some sea front tavernas. We enjoyed several barbecues at the villa and the meat market on the road to Argostoli is well worth visiting to buy burgers, kebabs and charcoal. Don’t forget to visit the loggerhead turtles in Argostoli.
If you want to rent a boat, then we can thoroughly recommend Ionian captains in Sami but don’t forget some euros to pay for the petrol at the end of the rental. Caroline is a wonderful host and is always at the end of the telephone. If any problems arise, she even knows how to fix the plumbing when the hot water fails, and managed to talk us through the solution . This is by far the best Villa holiday we have enjoyed with our family. Thank you Caroline for a wonderful 10 days in your lovely villa.

The perfect place for a relaxing family holiday. The infinity pool is fantastic and the villa well set up for catering and relaxing. A car is required as it's at the top of the village, though the views are excellent and it's very quiet.

A perfect stay at the perfect villa !
This stunning villa was perfect for 2 family stay - 4 adults and 4 teenagers as it offered ample space to spread out. Some of us lounged by the beautiful swimming pool, some played cards at the veranda and some simply chilled at the balcony overlooking the spectacular sea view ! Yes, the view from the swimming pool area was nothing but spectacular and it felt so secluded and special. We loved spending time at the villa and enjoyed BBQ in the evenings. It is only a short drive to Laurdas beach and we also walked to a nearby bakery and restaurants ( La Mer was fantastic). It is located in the very hilly area, so the driving at first was slightly challenging but you will get used to it. What’s more, the host Caroline was so helpful and responsive to all the enquiries we made. We struggled to hire a car but we managed to get it thanks to her help. Overall, it is a beautiful, well organised accommodation at the fantastic location offering a superb view. The only problem was that we became very reluctant to leave the villa - rather than exploring the island. Highly recommend to anybody who are looking for somewhere special !

Superb villa with a stunning view
We thoroughly enjoyed staying a Caroline's villa. The view from the villa is stunning making evening drinks on the balcony feel extra special. The infinity pool was was perfect for cooling down in from the heat and the kids had so much fun to the point it was hard to get them to get out of the pool.
The villa is spacious, well equipped and is in a peaceful location with just a 5 minute drive to the restaurants/mini market or a 15 minute walk. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch especially after a long day travelling.
Caroline was fantastic with communication and always responded quickly and thoroughly. Many thanks for facilitating such a wonderful holiday and we hope to stay again in the near future.

We were with two small children, so we spent a lot of time in the villa and ate at home every evening making the most of the gorgeous terrace.
There are lots of beautiful beaches only a short drive away, Caroline has listed her favourites in the villa's instruction booklet, we visited most of them and had some lovely lunches in the beach side tavernas.
Overall, a really lovely holiday. We can't thank Caroline enough for making it all so smooth, not only has it been two years since we've travelled abroad but this was our first time away with our toddler and our every need was catered for!

Wonderful island, great villa and the best villa pool ever!
Full marks on all counts for this wonderful villa. Firstly the owner was so helpful from the pre-booking stage through to the end of our two week stay. This communication was especially appreciated given the uncertainty around whether we would be able to travel due to Covid, until just a couple of weeks before we were due to come out. I'm so glad we were able to. We have hired villas via Home Away each summer for over 10 years and this is the best villa we have had. The views from the pool are amazing. The villa has the perfect amount of outdoor space to escape the sun, eat and enjoy and evening G&T. We had everything we needed inside the villa to self cater when we decided to eat in. The village of Vlachata has a good selection of restaurants and bars. We especially enjoyed Chefalonia which has opened this year. We spent most days exploring the sites and beaches around the island, and were not disappointed. I think it's impossible to find a bad beach on the island. Overall a five star holiday.

A view to remember!
Caroline was an absolute pleasure to deal with from our initial enquiry. The villa was exactly as described and perfect for our family holiday with 3 children and parents. The welcome pack was much appreciated, especially a cold beer on arrival to take in the view. The children spent ages in the pool and it was lovely to sit on either the shaded balcony to get out of the sun or the balcony on the top floor.
We hired a car, which is essential and enjoyed exploring the island but it was always lovely to come back and chill by the pool.

We are a family of 6. We had never visited Kefalonia before. We are so pleased we booked this villa. As soon as we walked in we realised we had found a gem of a place. The Villa is spacious, beautifully laid out and furnished and was perfect for our family. The pool is simply fabulous. After a long day out in the scorching sunshine, to relax and swim in the pool was heavenly. The island is amazing - so many places to explore, stunning and with a relaxed friendly atmosphere.

Perfect villa with a pool view we will remember forever
Excellent villa. Fabulous pool & views. Everything we needed for a truly wonderful holiday.
We arranged hire cars to explore the island, so the hilly location of the villa wasn't a problem. The hill wasn't a surprise to us because we knew the villa had a good view - no hill no view. It was a great central location for driving to the East & West coasts as well as being a very short drive to the South coast.
The interior of the villa was just what we wanted; clean, tastefully decorated & well equipped without being cluttered. The photos on this website don't do the villa justice. The outside furniture was ample & good quality, not a white plastic chair in sight! Showers were really good. Infinity pool was well built, well maintained and recovered quickly after the children had finished splashing about. This pool would not be a relaxing choice if you have defiant young children because of the infinity edge having a steep drop. This was fine for our 4 children, youngest being 9yrs, they all complied with our 'no sitting on the edge' rule. Wifi was perfect but we only used it for radio & Google maps. I had 4G/Google maps on my iPhone across the whole of the island, from Sami to Skala to Argostoli.
Air-con units worked well, although we only used them in the bedrooms while sleeping.
The location is 'quiet residential', so we did have to keep noise to a minimum after 11pm, and be generally considerate to others, which we hope we achieved. Not suitable for party animals.
Thank you very much to Caroline. And a big thumbs up to Keith the pool guy for not only doing a great job of the pool, but for his top tips on where to go after we vacate the villa and are waiting for return flight. Thanks Keith - you made our last day a lot less painful x

This is a fantastic villa with stunning views
We have visited the Lourdas area before and stayed in a villa with sea views at St Thomas's beach but the views from Villa Pelagos were mich better and absolutely amazing. Views from the 2 upstairs bedrooms equally as fantastic and I would definitely stay in this villa again. It is up on the hill so a car is necessary but what ever villa you stay in this area you really do need a car so why not drive an extra 5 minutes and get a view like this one ! You can walk down a steep hill to a small taverna, mini market and superb bakers but be warned it is a steep 10 minute walk back. We had some great BBQ's and cooked once a day and cooking equipment is adequate for holiday cooking. We arrived around 10pm and were greeted with a lovely welcome back so we could all have a cheese sarni and mum and dad had a cold beer. Caroline answered all our queries and all in all we were very happy with our stay and service.

Absolutely beautiful
We have just returned from a lovely and very relaxing holiday in Kefalonia. Villa Ionian Pelagos is beautiful, very spacious, clean and equipped with everything you could need and the view is simply breathtaking. The pool is great with plenty shade should you need it. Even though the villa is in a quiet secluded area the beach, shops and restaurants are only a short walk away and we would definitely recommend 'Cafe Platanos', which is an absolute gem. The capital, Argostoli is a short drive away and my daughters loved seeing the turtles, and I would recommend a visit to Fiskardo too.

The villas view is what this property is all about it is breath taking
Our recent stay in this villa was everything we wanted it is very private, the views are outstanding. It was very clean and well equipped with everything you would need. Caroline the owner is very helpful and responsive to any questions you may have and Sam who looks after the villa is very polite. I would recommend car hire to visit the island it is very hilly again Caroline helped us with this. Overall it is a beautiful villa and island.

Exceptional villa with truly amazing views
My initial query to Caroline was answered the same day and the level of detail provided made it a simple choice to holiday at this villa. Our ideal holiday (as a family of 4 with 2 early teen children) was one where we can all simply turn off the phones, read books, sunbathe and spend quality time together, and this villa exceeded all our expectations. The views from the villa and surrounding area are simply amazing but combine these with a relatively small, but very good selection of great restaurants & bars, and you have a holiday to remember. Caroline responded to all of our questions straight away and provided great advice as to what to do on the island. All in all it was the perfect holiday and I have no hesitation rating this 5 stars.

Relaxing Retreat
We just spent 2 weeks here and loved it! It is a lovely villa with a magnificent pool and view. Caroline was a very responsive and helpful owner and recommended car hire and restaurants for us. Our favorite restaurant was La Mer where we ate 3 times after cocktails at Astra. We went for coffee every morning at "Seven" at the beach where they give you free chocolate cake!
We did drive to most places as the roads are steep and meant we could benefit from the air on.
Would fully recommend this villa.

A little piece of heaven
From the moment we got in contact with Caroline everything was pretty much perfect. The car hire she recommended was excellent and all her information was very clear and helpful.
The villa is absolutely wonderful. Arriving to a welcome pack was very much appreciated so opening our first beer on the veranda was the perfect start!
The pool and view are absolutely wonderful and we were all very comfortable. I'm not a sun lover so sitting in the shade with the view and a book was just what was needed. The kids absolutely loved the pool and were always in it when we were at the villa. We ate out locally a lot and didn't have a bad meal, the food and people are wonderful.
We had some lovely days out. 80 euros for a boat for the day from Lourdas, bargain! We hired some very fast jet skis in Skala (though it's more touristy down there). Katelios, Sami and the lakes, Myrtos and Argostoli all recommended. Myrtos is breathtaking but there's nothing there so go prepared if you're spending any time there. We didn't manage to get further north but plan to be back! The drives are hairy and breathtaking in equal measure.
We were extremely reluctant to leave the villa and the island. It was pretty much a perfect holiday. Thanks Caroline.

View is what this villa is all about
We were greeted on arrival by Sam who was very pleasant and helpful and set the mood for the stay and had the apartment shining for our arrival. The Villa is all about the view and it is stunning to say the least. We have stayed in Vlachata before and been more central for the village restaurants and bars which this villa in all honestly needed one of us to drive as it was simply to steep for the ladies coming back on an evening. The villa is spacious and more than adequate for a large family/group. I would though suggest that if 8 guests arrived it would prove to be problematic for all to be seated at the same time. The villa advertises TV however their was none either satellite or internet based for our stay not that it bothered us at all as we were to busy taking in the views!!!. The internet speed itself is adequate for emails, social media etc.. I would consider returning again in the future with all the family.

Off the beaten track with magnificent views!
Six of us recently had the pleasure of staying at this lovely villa with magnificent sea views. Whilst the location is on the outskirts of the village, in a quiet residential area, the only "disturbance" was the sound of the bells on the goats being brought down from the hillside each evening and grazing around the olive trees by the villa ... idyllic Greek village life!!
You definitely need a car here as the roads are narrow, windy and very steep in places. Be aware that there is only one designated parking space for the villa, if you are in a larger party.
The villa was clean and tidy with a welcome pack left for us on arrival. There is plenty of seating outside for 8 people. This includes sunloungers, comfy seating on verandah and a large table and chairs for your al fresco dining. There is also seating upstairs on the balcony. The pool was kept impeccably clean, with Keith the pool man coming every other day.
We did have a couple of minor glitches, however, these were promptly addressed by emailing Caroline (the owner). She responded almost immediately and between her and Sam, the villa manager, these were answered or resolved as they were able.
There are plenty of restaurants or tavernas to choose from. One of the best meals was at the Olive Lounge a five minute drive.away, however we didn't have one bad meal wherever we went on this beautiful uncommercialised island.

Be prepared to fall in love.
One of the best views on the island is from the edge of your own private infinity pool!!! What more do you need!!!
Had a truly amazing experience on this holiday, from the very start of my enquiry the owner, Caroline, responded to me lightning quick and was always so helpful and passionate about her villa and Kefalonia.
We arrived on a early flight and luckily Sam that looks after the villa was still there just finishing the cleaning so we were able to go straight in. She even stopped for 40 minutes to tell us all her favourite places and things to do on the island, then showed us round the local area and let us follow her to the supermarket so we could see the way. (Its very easy to find but what sensational service so lucky we got there before she left)
We arrived to a welcome pack with all the essentials, most importantly some cold beers in the fridge which was a lovely touch.
The villa was spotlessly clean and the beds comfortable, I am not a man that copes well on little sleep so my travelling companions were relieved that I always slept soundly.
The pool was cleaned twice during our stay and was always crystal clear, it was very difficult to drag ourselves away. We did however enjoy a day on a local beach (well my travelling companions enjoyed, as I have an aversion to sand it was a day from hell for me but that's just me) We also did a day touring the island from top to bottom including the underground lakes near Sami and a lunch and hiring our own speedboat for the afternoon in Fiskado. To finish we made it just in time for the most perfect sunset of my life at Myrtos beach. Its a day I will never forget.
We had lots of barbeques by the pool as we did not want to leave, but still found time for a few dinners out. Our favourite was the Olive Lounge, where the owner made us feel like royalty, we bookended the evening with cocktails and had a fabulous dinner in between.
Sam cleaned the villa midweek providing fresh towels and sheets she even dropped off some sweet peppers from her garden at home which we stuffed with feta and chilli and barbequed .
A truly stress free experience, I cannot recommend it more!!!

Be prepared for some serious holiday blues once its all over!!!
Do yourself a favour if you cannot decide between a week or two weeks let me tell you make it two!! The week we spent just flew by and we were all trying to call home to work to see if we could get some extra leave and stay!!! THEY SAID NO :(

a wonderfull stay at a lovely spot on Kefalonia!
We had a wonderfull stay at the villa Ionion Pelagos!!!The villa is beautifull and comfortable for 8 people. Although we lived mainly outside in the shade of the pergola, the house is well equiped and clean and the villa-management visited the villa during our stay for fresh bedding etc. Super!! The view from the inifinity pool is splendid and we loved the swallows and bats who flew over the pool to drink.
You need a car on Kefalonia, but the owner gave us good advice about car-rental, all very easy and comfortable. The villa is close to to several beautiful beaches and small towns. I highly recommend this villa to anyone considering staying there, and Iwe certainly hope to come back in the future!!!

Ultimate in views
What a wonderful week's holiday. We were very happy in the villa and I would say the view from the pool is about the best I've seen. We were obviously concerned about the current situation in Greece but can honestly say we saw no sign of it on the island when we were there. The only queues we saw were at a cashpoint in Argostoli - about 12 people each time, so this could just have been the norm. The supermarket shelves were full and restaurants normal during our visit. Our favourite restaurant was the Olive Lounge which served the most delicious food.
The villa owner was so helpful prior to and during our stay. The pool lights weren't working when we arrived - a small thing but one email to the owner and it was immediately sorted.
As I write this at home in England, with grey skies and rain outside, how I wish I was back in the villa!
