The location can't be beat -- there is no other detached home like this in downtown Salida. Come see for yourself! Our home is light, bright, and "S" Mountain is outside the front door. The kitchen is spacious with lots of counter space, high-end appliances (6 burner gas cook-top) and a flat screen TV. Step outside to a private deck or go back to the patio and enjoy the seating area and green grass. The house has high-speed internet, cable TV service, three flat screen TVs (living room, queen bedroom, kitchen), and a gas fireplace. The living room television screen is 65" - perfect for sporting events or watching movies on the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Player. A new variable speed furnace and central air conditioning system has just been installed for ultimate comfort throughout the year. After a day of hiking, biking or skiing, relax in the jetted tub. A wonderful house with so many extra nice touches, excellent condition, great neighborhood close to so many businesses for our groceries, outings, great walks to everywhere in Salida. The house owners have taken every step to offer a beautiful and relaxing vacation get away.

The owners lavished TLC and excellent taste on this gem, and communication with them was fast and flawless. Kitchen and laundry well equipped; technology A+; patio truly special. We were so happy to return every night after horseback, hot springs, breweries, etc. Without a doubt the best VRBO we've ever rented. Can't wait to go back! Thank you!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Church House. Great location to walk to restaurants and shops in downtown. The house was as advertised had a good flow and sizable common areas for gathering. Excellent communication with the host and we will definitely be back our next time in Salida!

The church house was a lucky find for us and we enjoyed everything about it. Easy walking distance to everything we needed in Salida, and a beautiful, comfortable, convenient house to base our operations out of.

Great place to stay!
Tom and Leann did a great job remodeling this historic building. Great proximity to the restaurants, bars, parks and grocery stores for walking downtown Salida. Accommodations were well appointed and well furnished. Tom even secured a pack and play for us so we would not have to bring one with us. Would definitely recommend!

Location, location,location!
My daughter and I do not ski and this was the perfect location only steps from everything, but also close enough to Monarch skiing for my husband and sons. Safeway and Natural grocers both very near as well as antique stores and boutiques. My teenagers also liked playing basketball in the park just behind the house. The house was clean, and well stocked with everything you need to make your stay spectacular. The owners were great to work with and we would definitely stay again.

Excellent Place
Our family traveled to Salida for the Thanksgiving holiday and stayed in Tom's wonderful home. The location was ideal - easy walking distance to restaurants, shopping, the park, the Arkansas River and the grocery store. The home was super clean and well appointed. Everything we needed was there and Tom was a fantastic host. I highly recommend this property. It is an easy drive up to Monarch Pass. The people in the town were really friendly and made us feel right at home.
