部屋はけして広くはなく、アメニティなどの付加価値要素は少ないが、部屋の清潔さや冷蔵庫などの利便性、大阪駅へのアクセスといった立地の観点からみて、宿泊における必要最低限の設備が十分に揃っていた。なかでも受付の店員の人当たりの良さ、洋式ベッドの使用感のよさと、(時間帯指定がある且つ男性のみだが)湯船が使用可能であることが、主観ではあるが料金以上の価値や満足感につながったと考える。
ホテルに入った時点で土足が禁じられており、結果部屋の内部まで靴を運ばなければいけない点が少々不便に感じた。また、壁が薄いためスピーカーから音を出してのテレビ視聴や通話などは控えるよう忠告された。しかしながら、価格と比較すると瑣末な点であると考える。

Os funcionários foram muito simpáticos! Apesar de eu não falar inglês e saber poucas palavras em japonês, conseguimos nos entender muito bem. Foi o primeiro hotel em que me hospedei assim que cheguei ao Japão, e foi perfeito. A banheira, chamada de ofurô, (apenas para homens neste hostel) foi a melhor em que entrei em toda a minha viagem de 23 dias pelo país. O metrô e a lavanderia ficam a menos de 1 minuto de distância. Osaka é incrível. Muito obrigado, Hotel Lucky!
