About this cottage rental
Set in a quiet location less than 100 metres from the foreshore, this recently refurbished 4 bedroom detached house with 3 bath/shower rooms can comfortably accommodate 8 - 10 persons. The house has large front and back gardens with plenty of off-road parking.
The large lounge/dining room has seating for 10, including a double sofa bed, a TV and Blu Ray player, and dimmable modern lighting. There is a downstairs cloakroom with washbasin and WC and porch.
The newly refitted kitchen is fully equipped with double oven, induction hob, built in microwave, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer and washing machine.
The garden room is a double bedroom with a door opening onto the patio and has a large en suite shower room with washbasin and WC, and suitable for use by those with limited mobility.
On the first floor are 3 bedrooms and a family bathroom with sea views over the harbour.
The largest bedroom has twin beds with room for a cot, and an ensuite shower room with washbasin and WC.
The other 2 bedrooms share the bathroom with bath, over bath shower, washbasin and WC. One bedroom has twin beds and the other has bunk beds.
The house has gas central heating with constant hot water and wi fi broadband is included.
The secluded rear garden is flat and perfect for relaxing or ball games on the lawn. It has a large patio with outdoor furniture for 10 people and a separate conservatory with seating, light and power.

We had a lovely 5 days stay. Excellent location and great enclosed garden. We were a family girls group and there was plenty of room in the property for us all not to be on top of each other! Very well equipped kitchen. Will be back!

I can’t say enough positives about the location of this home! It is literally one minute from the foot path along the water and within 15 minute walk to village restaurants and ice cream shop, which was so nice for morning and evening walks with our two young children. The house itself is very clean and loves the back garden and ease of parking. The home is not overly well-stocked so make sure to bring extra kitchen roll and all necessities for cooking/cleaning. We were a little disappointed in the communication with the management company and that we were unable to get a one hour grace period on checkout when no one had reserved the home that day. Other than those minor issues I would recommend the home itself for sure!

We had an excellent stay at Still Waters. The location is beautiful with sea views and walks from the doorstep. The layout of the property is ideal for a group of friends with a big living room and dining table, the kitchen is also more than enough for everyone to be stood in (we had 8 people for one of the nights). The garden is stunning so we spend most of the time around the garden table. Some of the furniture is a bit dated such as the bedding and sofas, but this didn't bother us at all being a group of friends. It had most things we needed but didn't provide too many extras, we could have done with a few more loo rolls and more bin bags etc. The door also locks behind you so just worth bearing this in mind!! I would definitely recommend this accommodation for groups of friends looking for a nice relaxing stay in Emsworth.

Lovely house. Beautiful garden. The blossom was out on the tree.
The location was perfect.
Constructive criticism.
The house could do with a spruce up in the living area. The sofa's are at the end of their lives. Rather hard. The rug on the floor needs changing. It just looks dirty.
Complaints would be...
The kettle was so furred up we used a saucepan to boil water.
I slept on the bottom bunk bed. The mattress has ridges that dig in. I used the duvet from the top bunk to lie on. It solved the issue!
When stripping the beds at the end of the stay I discovered the pillow was completely stained both sides. Fortunately I had taken a pillow with me and hadn't laid directly on it.
Just because the room would mostly be used by children, doesn't mean it should be sub standard.
However, I'm told all the other beds were very comfortable.
The bathrooms were all good.
We did have a great stay especially after a year at home! I would stay there again.
