Friendly welcome and service. Large and comfortable room, coffee, tea and biscuits available, decent en suite shower with toiletries. Proper pub downstairs, with decent beer on tap. Large, free car park. Attractive location, by the canal and opposite the windmill. Close to the town centre, within easy walking distance. Full English breakfast available, with veggie options.

The host was very helpful and any concerns I had that the pub could be a noise problem vanished. It was very quiet. The customers were regulars and played boardgames or chatted and they didn't disturb our stay there at all.
There was no restaurant, but even that turned out to be no problem. The town was walking distance and the host kindly put some of our perishables in his kitchen fridge. All very amenable.

Warmly welcomed. Parking free and easy to find. Scenic windmill opposite property.
Not very clean! Dust behind beds and in vents and around bath. Basic accommodation for one night. Noisy bar downstairs.
