The hotel is beautifully located right on the river, making the setting absolutely wonderful. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful — he even drove more than 10 km to meet me on the road and then took me to the bus station completely free of charge.
The breakfasts were delicious, the staff were lovely and attentive, and I was also given a bicycle free of charge, which was a fantastic bonus.
I really enjoyed my stay here and felt very well looked after. Highly recommended!
Phimai itself is conveniently accessible by private car, but not by public transport. This refers specifically to Phimai, not to the location of the hotel.

This is a pleasant, family-run group of cottages along a nice pond that is a bit more than basic but good value. Phimai is not a big tourist area, but its Khmer ruins are quite interesting. It had a good breakfast and we met interesting people around the breakfast area. The a/c and hot water worked fine, and the bed was OK.
Its relatively remote and requires transportation to get into the city or to find a restaurant.

Nice houses directly at the river. Great views at all times of the day.
Good terraces with comfortable chairs and tables. On our second day we got even pillows for the chairs.
Also several possibilities to sit directly at the river.
The two older staff are very friendly. Wifi was surprisingly good.
Normally I would rate it with 10 points.
But we had problems with the dogs. Both had been very unfriendly and one of the even attacked and tried to bite us. This is absolutely not acceptable for a resort.
The only room on our trip without water kettle. You can get hot water in the open kitchen. But there are the dogs ...
