This was a hidden gem in the heart of Tavira, with plenty of space for two single women. The location was excellent and very central yet quiet. We weren't able to stay long, so didn't use the garden, but it was a pretty setting and had everything we needed. Maria gave us a lovely friendly welcome and was very helpful in letting us store our luggage before check-in and after check-out. Would have been lovely to stay longer.

Our host Maria was truly exceptional. From our pre arrival the communication was excellent.
Maria made our holiday 5star and more.
The location was perfect, straight out the door into the centre of town. There was a four day music festival which began at the start of our stay and it didn’t make any difference to our calm little oasis.
The garden was quiet and the turtle that has lived there for twenty four years was so cute. It would visit us daily for food which Maria had left in a container of turtle nibbles for us to feed it.
On arrival back to Faro airport we were hit with flight cancellations. We headed back to Tavira and Maria sorted us with other accommodation which was equally delightful.
What more could you ask for in a holiday. Great location, great accommodation, and a lovely host.
We look forward staying at Marias home next September.

Denne leiligheten var vi godt fornøyd med. Verten var meget hyggelig. Det var god plass med to soverom. Air condition fungerte fint. Soverommet med dobbeltseng har en flott utsikt til hagen. Vi likte veldig godt den lille bakhagen med druer som hang ned i store klaser. Barna var også veldig begeistret over at det levde to små skilpadder her. Leiligheten ligger midt i byen men det er ingen bråk. Tavira som by var også veldig sjarmerende og klart den mest autentiske byen vi var i på algarvekysten. Man må ta en liten ferje for å komme til stranden. Stranden og strand-restaurantene er absolutt verd turen.
Ikke noe spesifikt vi var misfornøyd med. Husk myggspray, siden den blir en del mygg i en bakhage med så mye planter.

Landlady extremely nice ; position very good . Great to sit out on terrace in the garden and watch the tortoise.
Main bedroom very nice with plenty of light

In general the place needs some TLC .
The 2nd bedroom was totally inadequate with no natural light and smelled of fad from the gas water heater in a cupboard in this room . Only ceiling lights no side lights . It would have been better to use the sofa bed in the living room .
Garden needs TLC - has BBQ area but unusable .
In general it was way too expensive for the bedroom facilities especially compared to others on offer with river views.
