We were able to walk to restaurants, shopping and Hot Springs Spa from the house. Nice views of the fall colors and a great front porch for relaxing. The dining room table was perfect for an evening of games.

Unfortunately, we had to cancel our reservation due to the home not being cleaned from the prior guests. We had to scramble to find alternatives for our stay.

The property is in the center of the town and easy accessible. The house itself and appliances as well as rooms, kitchen looked older than they were seen in the advertised picture. The max occupancy listed as 8. We rented for 2 and when we arrived the upstair access was locked. The first floor was kind of smelling moldy. I understand there was a $60 additional charge for more than 2 people staying. But I would rather paid $60 extra and stay in the upstairs room if the ad said you will not be allowed upstairs if you rent it for two people. We renter for two nights but we only stayed for a night because it was kind of smelling mold on the first floor. When we checked in, the neighbor came to inform us her brother will need to come and change the air filter and he did.

This house is a great place to relax after hiking the Appalachian Trail! We section hiked the trail around Hot Springs and enjoyed all the bars and restaurants downtown. All were just a short walk from the house!!

The Dorland cottage was everything we needed for the perfect vacation in Hot Springs. Big and spacious and right in the center of town! Close enough to walk to shops and food! The only complaints I would have are a reach… Wi-fi was a little spotty but that’s to be expected in that area. The upstairs bedrooms got pretty hot during the day but they cooled down at night. We didn’t have the air on because we had beautiful spring weather. The floors were visibly clean but didn’t seem like they were mopped prior to our visit, not a huge deal! Owner Melanie installed a new microwave for us so we didn’t have to go without one! Melanie was super nice and accommodating! she helped with trash pick up and helped with a few items left behind after our stay. Would definitely recommend this property and would definitely stay again!

We love Hot Springs, and this cottage matches the demeanor of the town perfectly. It was so nice to sit on the porch and watch the thru-hikers pass by. Can’t wait until our next stay.

This is a quite spacious home right in town of Hot Springs. You can not beat the location. The home was very clean and tidy, nestled in between two churches. It was a nice stay for our family while we visited and attended a wedding.

The AC worked great. The communication was good. The house is old and in need of updates and repairs. The location is good but the trucking and motorcycles off of front porch was loud and not relaxing. We had higher expectations and were unfortunately disappointed.

Although an older home, it is well kept and nicely decorated. My only complaint was that I think area an the back porch should be allocated for wet clothes. With the Spa and tubing many guests will need a place to put wet clothes.

The front porch is great in the evening and morning hours for coffee or after dinner drinks. We enjoyed our stay. The bed was a tad saggy and no so comfy, but we managed. This is aNice clean older property with some updates. My husband loved the character.

We love this sweet property. It is very conveniently located at the town center and the beautiful lover’s leap hike. We also enjoy taking a sweet drive over to ‘ax Patch. The locals are so very welcoming and welcoming the new open air Brewery is a real crowd pleaser.

This cute old bungalow is perfect for a stay in Hot Springs. It's close to everything. There were two of us so we did not use the second floor rooms. The first floor bedrooms and beds were comfy. We were cold at first and the beds had very light comforters. Although we found some blankets it was still a little chilly. otherwise it was great!
